At last Wednesday's New York Rangers game in Madison Square Garden in New York City, they did a "This Day in Garden History" segment and showed a photo of Hulk Hogan vs. The Iron Sheik, since Hogan won the WWF World Title for the first time in that building 29 years ago last week.

Shreve, the Hepatitis C positive wrestler currently facing charges of negligence, assault and battery in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Canada stemming from a career of unprofessional behaviour in professional wrestling matches. The Butcher never wrestled in Madison Square Garden or for the WWE although the company promotes him on their website at present time."
Chris Yandek of CYInterview.com recently interviewed former WCW star The Maestro and he gave his thoughts on Mick Foley and Bob Backlund being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He said "Tremendous, utmost respect for both. I?ve wrestled with both through the years and the contributions both gentleman have gave this business is second to none. I mean, Mick Foley has put his body on the line. ? More than anybody I know in this business and his passion, his intelligence is incredible. And same goes for Mr. Bob Backlund. Not only you know pro wrestling ranks, amateur as well, tremendous wrestler, all around great guy. Ring of Honor continues to post videos of Charlie Haas saying what pisses him off. The latest videos show Haas saying among the things that piss him off are Michael Hayes, JBL, warm beer, ROH corporate, wet toilet paper, Alabama, Jerry Jones (Dallas Cowboys owner), Tony Romo (Dallas Cowboys quarterback) haters of Manti Te'o (Notre Dame linebacker), dirty diapers, Kevin Kelly (ROH announcer), fans throwing toilet paper, and cheeseburger. There is was a sign last Wednesday at the ticket window at the Ota Ward Gym in Tokyo, Japan saying, "Sorry, Sold Out. No More Tickets" for the All Japan Pro Wrestling show on Saturday with Ric Flair & Keiji Muto vs. Tatsumi Fujinami & Seiya Sanada. Flair's two autograph sessions, one that day and one the next day, were also sold out in advance. Flair was thrilled to be working with Muto and Fujinami, who he partied with at different times in his career. While most know about Muto in WCW in 1989, Fujinami in the late 70s, as well as Genichiro Tenryu, worked in the Carolinas before they became big stars in Japan.
Ric Flair did not wrestle for All Japan Pro Wrestling as scheduled. Prior to the match, ?The Nature Boy? announced that he was unable to wrestle due to doctor?s orders. Flair apologized at the onset of the show and anounced his son Reid would take his place. According to the WrestlingObserver.com, Ric was taken to the emergency room before the show due to a sudden health issue and the doctor there told him there was no way he could wrestle.
Jake Roberts did a Indiegogo.com fund raiser so he could get shoulder surgery. It raised $12,733 almost immediately and he only needed $9,200 so he reached his goal.

Canadian Wrestling's Elite is proud to announce a partnership with "The Franchise" Shane Douglas and his upstart Extreme Rising promotion based out of the Northeastern, United States that will offer a unique opportunity for an undiscovered independent talent to potentially get a match and future opportunity with Extreme Rising. A seminar and tryout takes place over two days with the first portion taking place on Thursday, March 14th. After the end of the first day Shane Douglas will personally select those who he feels stood out and have potential to return the following day on Friday, March 15th with a more competitive environment in play where ultimately one will be potentially selected for future opportunity with Extreme Rising. The selected participant will then enter talks with Shane Douglas and his Extreme Rising partners about performing on a future Extreme Rising event. Cost to participate in the seminar and tryout is only $50 if paid by March 1st. Any applicants paying after the deadline will be charged $75.
