Larry Steals the Show!

There's an old question, "What do you get the man who has everything?" Because sometimes 'having it all' just isn't enough for some people. Take Luscious Larry, for example. Last week, he defeated Outlaw to become the first SWCW Champion. But even with his newfound status, it was just not enough.
Tonight at the Underground Arena, Larry faced his longtime rival "Partyman" Rick Garrett in a non-title match. After a round of the usual shenanigans the local fans have become accustomed to, the two settled down to business, both with something to prove to the other. The SWCW Champion was able to take advantage of a weak point and scored a pinfall over Garrett, but illegally used the ropes as leverage in the process. When referee Rob Justice found this out, he reversed his decision, awarding the match to Rick Garrett by disqualification.
The show continued into the main event, where six competitors would face off in a ladder match to determine the first SWCW eXtreme Champion. MSWA Mid-South Cruiserweight Champion Cody Jones stepped into the ring with the likes of Tommy Smash, Eric Rose, James Warbois, and Kenny Campbell. AACW Mid-American Light Heavyweight Champion Dexter Hardaway was the final competitor, guaranteeing a victory earlier in the night, and it seemed he would accomplish this as the title belt was mysteriously lowered when Dexter climbed the ladder, only to be raised back up when Kenny Campbell attempted to obtain the title.
However, the match took an unpleasant turn when the ring was invaded. Kareem Sadat had been watching the match intently, having won a brutal hardcore handicap match earlier in the night. Luscious Larry came from the backstage area without warning, urging Kareem and Tyson Jaymes to join him in the ring. As the two other men helped eject all the competitors from the ring, then clear the ring area, the match was ruled a no contest by Rob Justice.
The SWCW Champion declared that no one would be stealing his spotlight with a 'stupid ladder match', and that the only person who should be getting attention should be him. The fans booed his selfish display in ruining a match which, to that point, had everyone on their feet and cheering. Will these selfish tendencies cause Larry to become his own worst enemy as he attempts to gain all of the glory in the SWCW? Time will tell.
However, he is now scheduled to face his nemesis Rick Garrett in two weeks, and the SWCW title will be up for grabs this time. We will see if Larry can continue his shameless self-promotion, or if he will fall off the pedestal he seems to have placed himself on and lose the SWCW Championship
