Erica Reveals New Side To Starr In Ongoing Feud
Posted: Dec 8th 2012 By: CMBurnham
They say that feuds between women are worse than those between men. While men often have one confrontation and are done, women never forget and often hold long grudges against each other.
Oklahoma wrestling has had its share of these womens' grudges. Jenna Love vs. Heather Savage. Lily McKenzie vs. Jessi Jersey. And now, Erica vs. Starr. For years, these two have waged war in the rings of IZW and MSWA and now they've brought their dislike for each other to BYEW.
Only it appears that an extra dimension will be added to the procedings. One that has not occurred in Oklahoma for over 10 years.
Given that these two have faced each other so many times before, it's no surprise that their match Sunday at BYEW's return to Oklahoma City was one of the most competitive matches on the card. There were multiple 2-counts from both women and anyone who says that women's wrestling can't measure up to men's should have been present here to be proven wrong. The competitiveness may have surprised Erica a bit, as supreme confidence has been a major characteristic of hers since she left the side of IZW Champion Double D. But she also hasn't been an in-ring participant as much as Starr has recently, so an easy victory was not going to be anywhere near possible.
Frustrated by her inability to get things done with her wrestling skill, Erica resorted to one of the most underhanded tactics seen recently. While she had Starr in the corner, she unlaced the neck of her top. This left Starr in a very exposed state, embarassed and distracted, and while she attempted to cover herself, Erica schoolgirled her for the win. Completely caught off guard, Starr grabbed the microphone and challenged Erica to a rematch with no cheating. Erica refused, stating that she had nothing to prove and no reason to step in the ring again. Starr then upped the challenge, saying that since Erica wanted to expose her, they should compete in a match where that risk was open for both women: a Bra and Panties Match! The crowd (mostly male) was certainly in favour of this idea, but again, Erica refused, saying that she was a lady and did not ever put herself in that kind of situation.
Starr knew that the key to getting Erica to agree was to make a blow to her ego, so she suggested that the real reason Erica didn't want to compete was that she wore granny panties. This got a "Granny Panties!" chant going from the crowd and that was enough to finally get Erica to agree to the match. The last time a Bra and Panties Match is documented by Oklafan to have occured in the state was November 26, 2001 between Trish Stratus and Stacy Kiebler. And there has NEVER been one on the indy circuit. But that will all change on January 13th as Starr and Erica face off in a Bra and Panties match at BYEW's next show.
No matter who wins the match, it's safe to say that the entire crowd will be the winners here.
