A. J. Styles came to the ring and climbed to the top of the Elevation X structure. He said he's the most decorated wrestler in TNA history and he invented the X Division. He also said he made Ultimate X famous, but he knows to be the greatest, you must raise the bar. Thus, his new creation: Elevation X. 2 men climb, but there's only room for 1 at the top. He said he'll give someone the opportunity to be famous because they'll never be phenomenal. Rhino came out and climbed the structure. A. J. quickly scooted down. Rhino said that A. J. has run from him for the last time. His latest invention will be responsible for the end of his career as Rhino is acccepting A. J.'s challenge. A. J. tried to back out of the match, but Rhino would have none of it, saying he'll risk his life as he gores A. J. off the top of the structure straight to hell.

Sting was interviewed on a "death bed". He posed the question of what it's like to die, then answered that it's a choice. There can be gnashing of teeth and pain or there can be a clean slate. He said that he believed in Abyss all this time and life will soon change for Abyss. When he straps Abyss to the "death bed" and raises him up, Abyss will then have a choice: darkness, gnashing of teeth and maggots or being a new man. The choice is Abyss' alone, as he doesn't have the devil (James Mitchell) in his ear anymore.

Jim Cornette joined Mike Tenay in the ring. He said the Destination X PPV is looking bigger than ever and quickly went over the matches that had already been signed. He then said that it will be even bigger and there's a contract signing for 2 of the biggest stars in TNA history: Scott Steiner and Kurt Angle. Both men come out and Cornette asked for proper behaviour from both men. Steiner said that after he beats Angle, he'll melt down the Olympic medal and see how much he can get for it. He bets he can't even buy a cup of coffee with it. Angle reponded by saying that his reason for coming to TNA wasn't a selfish one. He wanted to make TNA bigger & better. Steiner wanted to rape TNA for everything it had. Angle wants to make an example of Steiner because the business doesn't need a "whining complaining bitch" like him. Angle & Steiner both signed the contract, then Angle overturned the table and Tenay & Cornette exited the ring. Steiner headbutted Angle, but Angle fought back until Tomko & NWA World Champion Christian Cage came to the ring and it became a 3-on-1 attack. Cage laid out Angle with the NWA World Title belt, then Steiner stuffed the contract in Angle's mouth.
