Bullies Ruin Memorial High School Homecoming Activities

This past Monday saw Memorial High School once again host a ComPro wrestling event. But this time the result was not as enjoyable for the fans.

Last May, Russ Rogers & Kyle Kelly recruited Anthony Jackson & Robert Lee to face off against Brian Lakewood & 3 Memorial High School coaches in an 8-man tag team extravaganza. The match ended with with the coaches holding their hands high in victory over the opposing foursome.

Much of the blame for that loss seems to have been put on Robert Lee, as he was never asked to participate in one of the Bullies' matches again. And with Jackson unavailable for Monday night's card, Rogers went deep into the reserves to call up an old associate: "The Oklahoma Legend" Rocco Valentino.

Valentino had not competed for almost 4 years. His last appearance was part of the master plan with Brent Albright to wrest control of ComPro from Ray Martinez and turn it over to Mike Two. Since that time, Valentino had moved on to other activities, but when he received the call, the old Valentino -- the leader of the VIP Crew -- came back with a vengeance to help out his friend.

The Bullies were in standard form as they interrupted Coaches Kiah Smith and Tony Daniels at the opening of the show. As always, Rogers, Kelly & Valentino made it clear to the audience who they were and why they didn't like any of the fans. And then, the taunts began as they challenged the coaches to come back into the ring, only to ambush them 3-on-2. Fortunately, ComPro Tag Team Champion Justin Lee was watching backstage on the monitor and came running to the ring to even things up. After clearing the ring of the Bullies, Lee challenged them to a 6-man tag match. Rocco protested that Russ wasn't ready to go and that he needed to stretch and almost backed down from the match completely, but was persuaded to go ahead and compete in the semi-main event.

Things started well for the Bullies as they paired off with members of the opposing team when the match began, showing solidarity and handling the less experienced coaches. However, when they switched pairings, things changed as it gave Lee's team a chance to rest and all three Bullies found themselves on the outside of the ring. When the match began again, Lee and his men controlled the action for a while until Lee was cornered and worked over for quite a long time. Every time Lee would inch his way to the corner, the Bullies would distract referee Mark Wilson and pull him back. Finally, Lee made a leaping dive as both his partners had their hands outstretched...and tagged both in at the same time!! Smith & Daniels then entered and Smith annihilated Kelly with a spear. Daniels took down Rogers with a high impact move. With the Bullies on the run, it seemed that the coaches were going to be just as successful as their undefeated football team this season.

And then, disaster. Sensing that there was no way they could win this match fairly and not wanting to suffer through another humiliating loss, Rogers pulled a pair of brass knucks from his tights. While Mark Wilson dealt with action that had spilled to the outside, Rogers knocked out one of the coaches the brass knucks and covered him. Wilson was directed by Valentino to the pin and counted three. And an uncomfortable silence fell in the gym. No one could believe it. It had to be a joke. There was no way that the coaches could have lost. And the Bullies wasted no time in gloating about their victory. At least until Justin Lee grabbed a chair and cleared them out again.

Rogers has been demanding a title shot for months now and it seems certain that this victory will be used as evidence that he deserves one. As for Valentino, whether this was a one-time return or the beginnings of another master plan is yet to be discovered.
