WWE News: Announcing Team for This Week's Raw Revealed

Before you read any further, this could be considered a spoiler to some.

So, if you like surprises on live broadcasts than read no further?everyone else, enjoy the news.

With Jerry Lawler out indefinitely, the WWE has found itself in quite a conundrum.

Ultimately, the WWE needs a weekly announcing team for their live broadcast of Raw. Granted, Michael Cole could handle the announcing duties solo. However, without someone to play off of the commentary could come off slanted and one-sided.

Last Monday, the WWE gave us the announcing team of Cole, JBL and Jim Ross. Currently JBL is out of the picture as he left for Africa on Friday, September 21, for Round 2 of his Seven Summits climb.

So, that leaves the WWE with very few options.

Even so, it now appears that the WWE has a team in place for this week. The news came Sunday night via Jim Ross's Twitter.

This is great news for hardcore fans, as Ross has been a staple in the WWE broadcast booth for close to 20 years, not to mention his involvement in furthering many storylines throughout the Attitude era and beyond.

In the end, I am hopeful that the WWE will find a permanent non-NXT spot for Ross. Even though, both he and William Regal have proved to be a formidable duo; Ross deserves better and should at least be on SmackDown.

I guess a positive way to look at this is, worst-case scenario, we will have a good run with Ross and Cole for one more week.
