Jerry Lawler suffered a heart attack during the live telecast of "WWE Monday Night RAW" last night in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Earlier in the show, he tagged with Randy Orton to defeat Dolph Ziggler & C. M. Punk. After participating in the match, he resumed his duties at the announce table. During the Daniel & Bryan & Kane vs. The Prime Time Players (Titus O'Neil & Darren Young), Lawler hunched over and was convulsing in his seat. He was arried away by WWE medical personnel and appeared unconcious when they removed him by stretcher. When the show came back from commercial, Michael Cole spoke in a low tone about Lawler's condition stating he had administered CPR and had been taken to a Montreal hospital. The rest of RAW was televised without any commentary. At the end of the broadcast before going off the air, Cole reappeared on camera and stated that Lawler was breathing on his own, his heart was beating on its own and he was awaiting a CAT scan on his chest and brain. Two sources later stated that Lawler has undergone a heart procedure to repair blockage.

After Lawler had been taken to a Montreal hospital, WWE.com posted on the website "During the tag team match between Kane & Daniel Bryan and The Prime Time Players tonight on Raw, viewers may have noticed members of the audience and WWE production team staring toward the commentary booth, as well as the absence of Jerry ?The King? Lawler?s voice. WWE.com has learned that the WWE Hall of Famer collapsed at the announcers? table and was tended to in the locker room area by WWE medical staff. Lawler was then taken from the arena to a medical facility in Montreal. We will have updates on Lawler?s condition as this story progresses."

The following is a joint statement from Jerry Lawler?s girlfriend, Lauryn Laine McBride, and his son, Brian Christopher: "Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. It has been confirmed that Jerry did have a heart attack?he is in stable condition and breathing on his own & heart is stable. I?m getting on the first flight out of here to be with him & will keep everyone posted. He is a strong man and we will get him back at his best as soon as I can get him home! I love you so so much baby!!"

Jim Ross posted on Twitter after Lawler's collapse "I?m shaken by the news of my friend Jerry Lawler?s medical emergency in Montreal. Hands shaking. Prayers for the King. I feel helpless."

Dutch Mantell posted on Facebook "To my brother Jerry?hang in there. One person called tonight and asked would he be OK?.look..I?m known Lawler damn near all my life?and he?s a tough ass MF?er?.he?s had to be for having been in the wrestling business for all these years. He?ll be fine. If I felt differently, I?d say so. God Bless you Jerry?.these past few weeks have been very difficult for me?.but don?t worry folks?he?ll be OK."

Velvet Sky, who worked a show in Aruba with Lawler over the weekend, posted on Twitter "Just did Piper?s Pit with Jerry Lawler in Aruba on Friday and he seemed to be in great health so I know he will pull through this."

Smith Hart posted on Twitter "According to my friend Jeremy Prophet who was backstage at RAW, Jerry was clinically dead for 20 min before being brought back by defibrilat"

Dory Funk, Jr. will present Gerald Brisco with The Funking Conservatory Fighting Heart Award at the !BANG! Wrestling event in Ocala, FL on September 15th. The Funking Conservatory Fighting Heart Award is an achievement award presented to those who make the best of their wrestling talent. Other recipients of the Fighting Heart Award include Jack Brisco, New Japan Pro Wrestling?s Seiji Sakaguchi, Carlos Colon, Mick Foley, and Dory Funk Jr. Gerald's son, pro wrestler Wes Brisco, will also be in attendance for the event.

Last Monday night, Jack Swagger was seen leaving the arena and told RAW General Manager A. J. Lee that he needs to take some time off. The current plan for Swagger is to take a few weeks off and return on October 1st. This event is scheduled in Oklahoma, which is where Swagger went to college. There are also rumors that his repackaging will include Swagger being a face, which would fit perfectly with his return "home".
