Morgan Forced To Watch And Wait As Impact, Inc. Controls MSWA

Posted: Sep 10th 2012 By: CMBurnham

The past two months have been extremely frustrating for IZW Tag Team Champion Kevin Morgan. Certain one of the most popular competitors in MSWA, Morgan has been forced to sit on the sidelines due to the legal machinations of MSWA Commissioner Erica and Impact, Inc. Now, it seems like Morgan may be pushed to his breaking point if this forced sabbatical isn't lifted soon.

One of the biggest stumbling blocks in front of Morgan is the one person he thought he could count on to resolve this whole matter: MSWA owner Bad Boy. But since Morgan's contract was terminated by Erica, Bad Boy has been unable (or perhaps unwilling?) to reinstate the superstar. Morgan has been forced to come to the shows and purchase a ticket in order to remain around the action. And as an attendee, he is also force to abide by the rules of the fans, meaning he cannot cross the retaining rope and he cannot lay his hands on the wrestlers, no matter the provocation.

On a couple of different occassions, Morgan has come very close to violating those rules, including during the 6-man tag team main event on August 19. Morgan came in and had to be forcibly restrained by security and MSWA owner Bad Boy. Rumours began to circulate about a possible dissension in the ranks between the two men and Bad Boy came out at the beginning of the show last Sunday to address those concernes. He dismissed them, saying that while it's true that Kevin is unable to get involved because of legal issues, he's doing everything possible to address those issues. Just like Impact, Inc., he has a team of lawyers on the case and he's not going to let Impact, Inc. destroy what he took 6-10 years to build on his own.

Morgan came out Bad Boy told him that it was perfectly acceptable for him to sit in the crowd, but he had to restrain himself from getting involved during Impact, Inc.'s matches. Morgan attempted to control himself and took a seat in the corner as Impact, Inc. came out. Johnny Z & MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions Jermaine Johnson & Jordan Jacobs took severe advantage of Morgan's presence, taunting him incessently and attempting to get him to cross the line and enter the ring area, thus causing further legal headaches for the MSWA owner.

Impact, Inc. appeared to get that out of their system after the opening dialogue between themselves and Bad Boy. All members of Impact, Inc. had matches booked later in that show and their focus remained on the in-ring action, rather than the outside presence of Morgan. But things changed after the end of the main event, which saw MSWA Mid-South Champion Double D defend his title against Bobby Starr. Johnny Z was certain that Bad Boy would grant him another title opportunity, but that didn't happen and Z, along with Johnson & Jordan, came down after Starr had grabbed the title belt and hit D with it, earning a DQ for himself. In gangland style, Impact, Inc. descended on D and began to beat him incessantly. This prompted Morgan to stand up from his seat and approach the barrier and both the crowd and Impact, Inc. encouraged this, albeit for different reasons. Understanding the consequences of his actions, Morgan backed down, but it was obvious that the forced restraint was tearing him apart inside. Unable to do anything about what he was witnessing, and unwilling to simply stand by and watch it happen, Morgan walked towards the exit of the arena. He stopped when he got the entrance aisle and briefly appeared to be reconsidering his decision, willing to throw caution to the wind and perhaps embroil Bad Boy in more legal difficulties. Btu he couldn't bring himself to do that and quickly hurried out of the arena.

Impact, Inc. stood triumphant in the ring and soaked in the jeers of the enraged audience as the referees tended to the fallen Double D. After Impact, Inc. had made thier exit, Morgan returned and stared at the curtain to the dressing area, shaking his head and visably upset.

But there was nothing he could do. And that was the most upsetting thing of all to him.

This isn't the first time that Morgan has been the subject of the mind games of Impact, Inc. Three years ago, Z manipulated Morgan into a feud with himself and Aaron Neil in an effort to cost Neil the MSWA Title. Z certainly seems confident that Morgan won't be able to withstand the mental barrage. For his sake, he had best hope that he's right, as an angry Kevin Morgan could certainly do more than ample physical damage to "The Natural Born Leader".
