If Ric Flair Does Not Join the WWE Soon, What Will Happen to Him?

Hopefully, and it pains me to say this, it will put an end to the ?Nature Boy? and the problems we have seen unfold over the last decade.

No one is as big a fan of Ric Flair as I am, having spent time out of the ring with him, talking about things that did not pertain to wrestling. But there comes a time when your idols need to vanish and become the person they were before the character they played.

In this case, it may be impossible to separate the wrestler from the man. Ric Flair has always been Ric Flair.

When TNA released Flair from his duties from the company for missing show dates and ringing up huge hotel tabs, it was just part of the downward spiral for the man most of us consider the greatest wrestler of all time.

It also started speculation that Flair would rejoin the WWE for a third time, this time with his daughter Ashley having been signed to a developmental contract with the company.

We have yet to see Flair other than at the Hall of Fame ceremony where he was inducted for a second time with The Four Horsemen.

This is also a prime chance for Flair to make his entrance since there are plenty of scenarios he could play into, one of which being the Triple H/Brock Lesnar situation. Wouldn?t it be awesome to see Flair come to his friend?s aid to balance the Paul Heyman situation?

He could also be a key factor in the tag team division. The WWE recently released A.W. and lost a good fit for their tag team, The Prime Time Players.

I don?t see Flair jumping to their aid (I thought Booker T was a great fit until he was named SmackDown GM) but some team like a Tyson Kid and Justin Gabriel could use his knowledge (remember too, that Flair was a tag team champion before he got into singles wrestling).

There are five wrestlers right now who could use managers to help their career along or help get them into the main event on a regular basis.

Dolph Ziggler has Vickie Guerrero, but I could see there being tension between the two over the rights to the WWE?s best heel right now.

Ryback could use him as Batista did, learning his trade and plying his work in the ring.

Randy Orton. As odd as it seems, Orton could use some karma right now to get another crack at the top spot in the WWE. Flair could be his ?mentor? and wizened veteran much like he was in Evolution.

Damien Sandow. The Nick Bockwinkle/Macho Man/Lanny Poffo character would look good next to Flair, kind of in an aristocratic way, much like Triple H was when he first came to the WWE.

Matt Morgan. If Morgan does sign with the WWE at some point, he and Flair could enter together and the next big thing in the WWE. A Morgan/Ryback feud would be good for everything considered.

With all that being said, all we have now to do is wait and hope.

If it doesn?t happen soon, then it is not meant to be. Coming into the company too late destroys the possibility that Flair is still a needed commodity.

All he is right now is a tease, and if the WWE waits too long to bring him in, the momentum that was started when he was released by TNA will never fully materialize.
