KSN in Joplin, MO had a report last week about the 103rd birthday wish of Maime Crayton. She wanted to meet some pro wrestlers and Michael Barry, Dustin Heritage, and Lars Manderson went to visit her. Barry and Heritage were interviewed for the report and all 3 appeared on KSN's news set after the report finished airing. You can watch the video by clicking here. The roster for the upcoming "WWE 13" video game include Jack Swagger from the current era, Beth Phoenix from the divas current era, and Big Bossman, Cactus Jack, Dude Love, Mankind, and Vader from the Attitude Era.

THQ had a major press event Saturday with a talent panel that included C. M. Punk, Mike Tyson, Steve Austin, Dolph Ziggler, A.J., Sheamus, Brodus Clay, Cameron and Naomi, and hosted by Jim Ross. They talked about the Attitude era and SummerSlam. Reports state Ross ended up as the star, and was hilarious.

Jim Ross noted going to SummerSlam this year to do more voice over work for the video game because the Attitude Era stuff will be with he and Jerry Lawler on commentary. But he'd be there so there's a chance he'll do a match. He's also there for the camp as he's one of the people Triple H has assigned when it comes to evaluations of potential talent. Ross will also be filming an interview with Steve Austin and C. M. Punk together to promote the video game, since Punk is on the cover of the game, and Austin as the star of the Attitude Era, is considered one of the key people in the game.

After being attacked by C. M. Punk at the conclusion of last night's episode of "WWE Monday Night RAW", Jerry Lawler posted on Twitter "Thanks to all my friends for your concern tonight?I?m OK. If you?re really the BEST in the world you shouldn?t have to kick someone in the BACK of his head?just saying!!"

WWE is currently phasing out the name Florida Championship Wrestling for the company?s developmental territory reports The Wrestling Observer. All FCW titles have been dropped in favor of the new NXT title along with no new FCW television shows being taped. The official FCW website at FCWWrestling.info has now been rebranded with the NXT name. Terry Taylor is now officially listed as a trainer for NXT on the website as well.

Memo Montenegro, AKA Guillermo Rodriguez, has been added to NXT Wrestling's official roster. He is the brother of Alberto Del Rio, the son of pro wrestler Dos Caras, and the nephew of pro wrestler Mil Mascaras.

Vince McMahon was none too happy with Roddy Piper?s appearance last week on RAW. Piper?s rambling was noticeable, and as a result, McMahon instructed announcer Michael Cole to bury the segment via his headset.

In an interview with WWE.com, The Iron Sheik commented on Jinder Mahal using the Camel Clutch, Sheik said, "First, I want to say hello to all my [WWE] fans. That was my hold, only Iron Sheik hold, and now the Indian man come and use it. He never ask me, never talk to me, and now he use my hold. If I was a young Iron Sheik, I can suplex him, humble him first and then I show him my Camel Clutch, but I never got to that point. Now he using me, he use my greatest hold, the Camel Clutch, I don?t know. Sometimes I can be happy that the Indian come use my hold, sometimes I can be unhappy because why you have to use my hold? Only one Iron Sheik, one Camel Clutch. No one else in the young generation try to be the Iron Sheik [besides Jinder Mahal], but he is not Iron Sheik."

Chavo Guerrero Sr. posted on Facebook a response to The Iron Sheik's complaints stating "sheik complainig that the indian wrestler using hiS cameL clutch, that camel clutch was invented by non other than GORY GUERRERO, MY FATHER".

Alex Barie of WrestlingNewWorld.com interviewed Kurt Angle last week. When Angle was asked why he chose WWF over WCW when it was time to turn pro, he said it was Ric Flair that convinced him to go to WWF. Angle said "WWE, F at the time, was going through the Attitude Era. I actually, thank God, met Ric Flair. I asked him about WCW and he straight up told me right to my face to not go there and go to WWE. Ric pretty much scared me off. WCW would do nothing with you. Vince McMahon would make you a star. Ric was right. I am very grateful what Vince did to me. He utilized me the right way. I believe if I would have went to WCW, it would have taken a heck of a lot longer to get to where I am now." PWInsider.com reports that while making an appearance the "Gathering of the Juggalos", Ric Flair acted as a host on the main stage for various musical acts. Flair?s appearance was cut short after he was hit with a water bottle thrown from the crowd. He then told those involved with the show that he would not be going back out in front of the crowd.

Washington Redskins Quarterback Robert Griffin III was a guest recently on "4th & Pain", hosted by his Redskins teammate Adam Carriker. Griffin was asked about being a fan of pro wrestling and said his favorite wrestler was Goldberg. He also said he preferred WCW over WWF. To listen to the entire interview, click here.

The Miami Herald ran a story on Mike Tenay, talking about his background in wrestling, moving to "WCW Monday Nitro", where the Professor name came from (Tony Schiavone, from Pete van Wieren who did Braves broadcasts as The Professor). He talked about growing up watching Mil Mascaras, Black Gordman, & Goliath, and going to Mexico and watching videotapes of Japanese wrestling in the 80's and 90's, as well as watching Olympic wrestling this past weekend with Kurt Angle. Ronda Rousey was the second most searched on the internet in the United States on Saturday, a great distance behind "The Hunger Games" with more than 200,000. The 50,000 searches for her name was more than any individual in MMA since Chael Sonnen and Anderson Silva individually on July 7th. But total searches related to the show itself were below the last UFC. After the show, when it was brought up regarding changing her nickname from Rowdy Ronda to something else, she said she took the nickname from Roddy Piper, her favorite wrestler, that Piper gave her the okay to use it and she will never change it.

Joe Jones was named the new commissioner of Mid-States Wrestling at their show this past Saturday. Jones had been senior referee since the company started in 2003.

Oklafan congratulates Nemesis (Damien Morte & Rage Logan) who recently surpassed 6 months as BYEW Tag Team Champions. They defeated The Syndicate (Scott Sanders & Shawn Sanders) for the titles on February 19, 2012 at a show in Oklahoma City.

Bernard Funk had surgery to remove a tumour from his head Tuesday. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.

Oklafan send its condolences to Dutch Mantell, who's 16 year old granddaughter Amelia died in a car accident last Tuesday.

Dutch Mantell posted on Twitter about his granddaughter's passing "My granddaughter died today in a senseless accident. The guy that collided with my sweet baby died tonight at 1pm on the op table. The guy who killed my gr/daughter deserved to die. Why would a beautiful 16 year old have to suffer bcuz of white trash like him." He also posted on Facebook "The piece of scum who crashed into my granddaughter doing 70 MPH died on the operating table last night. I?m not a vengeful man but that bastard got what he deserved. He was a life long criminal who was running from the police when he hit my baby. Amelia was going to dance practice, he was running to get away from the police. We are going now to go claim her body back to our family. God Bless you sweet Amelia. This the hardest thing I?ve ever had to do. Pray for my wife and daughter." Funeral serviceswere held on August 16th and Mantell posted the following on Facebook "Today, funeral services for our beloved Amelia will be held and I I will see my beautiful princess for the last time. This is a nightmare, something I would not wish on my worst enemy. I have to be strong for my daughter and my family, but my grief over losing the one person I l loved the most in the world overcomes me. Pray that have the strength to carry my daughter and wife in the worst time of the lives. Amelia?the whole world loves you today."

A few days later, Mantell posted info on how to donate money to help the family spread his grandaughter's ashes at the Grand Canyon. He posted on Facebook "FB family?my dear sweet precious Amelia has gone from this earth. She was cremated Friday morning. My daughter and Amelia loved to travel and one of the places little Amelia loved best was the Grand Canyon. Amelia called it the most beautiful place on earth. Amanda wants to go and spread her ashes to the winds there but she needs a little help. If you can, donate a few dollars via Paypal to help Amanda realize this goal. If you can, you can. If not, Amanda loves you. You can donate to the fund via PayPal at dirtydutchmantell@gmail.com. Love be to all of you who have helped us get through this nightmare of a ordeal".

On Monday, Mantell posted an update on Facebook "Sorry I haven?t posted a lot since Saturday but here?s an update. We flew to Phoenix yesterday from Nashville. There are 5 of us who came. Amanda, her husband Will, Amelia?s stepsister, Macy, my wife Cathy and me. Long trip. We made it to Sedona, Arizona last night. Today we make the journey to the Grand Canyon to one of Amelia?s favorite places in the whole world. Pray for us this has been a very difficult undertaking. Thanks to our friends on FB, who have donated in the Amelia fund, we are getting through this. Amanda slept all night from exhaustion for the first time in a week. I ?m up checking on the crew right now. I love you Amelia."
