Abdullah the Butcher recently did an interview saying that he gave away his WWE Hall of Fame ring and would never wear it, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Abby said as soon as he received the ring, he gave it to his brother. He said it was an insult WWE inducted him into the Hall of Fame this late, saying he had been in the business and drawn money all over the world for 51 years before they put him in, and he should have been put in 15 years ago or more.

The Score?s Arda Ocal recently had the chance to speak with WWE Hall of Famer and current WWE scout, Gerald Brisco, who is currently in London scouting for WWE at the Olympic games. Among the highlights, Brisco talked about the process of scouting Olympic amateur wrestlers and other Olympic hopefuls as potential future WWE Superstars, how the scouting process works, and what he looks for in a potential Superstar, on the two phases of his career: as a wrestler and as Vince?s "stooge", some advice he would give to aspiring WWE Superstars, and more. At a charity event for St. Mary's Dining Room in the Stockton, CA area, a Batman sketch drawn by Jerry Lawler and donated by Michael Kingston of the Headlocked comic book was the highest auction item at $170. About 4,000 people turned out for the event

In a recent Q&A session on Twitter, Chris Jericho listed A. J. Styles as one of the current TNA wrestler he would like to face.

Ashley Fleihr, the daughter of Ric Flair, has reported to Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa, FL to train under her WWE developmental deal. She posted on Twitter "Received my ring name?.. CHARLOTTE, baby, CHARLOTTE!!!"

Kevin Nash feels that the professional wrestling business died in 2004 at WrestleMania XX when WWE?s ?Super Bowl? concluded with the image of the under six-foot-tall grapplers reigning supreme as champions and emotionally celebrating. Even though the two wrestlers are now deceased, he still believes they never belonged in the main event scene due to their small stature. "When [Chris] Benoit and [Eddie] Guerrero hugged [at the end of WrestleMania XX], that was the end of the business," Nash said in the interview. "Has business been the same since that WrestleMania? Has it come close to the Austin era? Has it come close to the nWo or the Hogan era? You put two f***ing guys that were great workers that were the same height as the f***ing referees, and I?m sorry, man. Are you going to watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch d***? Even if you?re not gay, you will not watch a porno movie with a guy with a three-inch d***. That?s not the standard in porno films. So you put a 5-foot-7 guy as your world champion." Eddie Guerrero's brother Chavo Guerrero, Sr. fired back at Nash on Twitter and posted "nash remain a f? moron idiot just because he was a freak and bigger than normal people he stll has no clue wt a wrestler .. entertainer or worker is my grandson that i am training noe cld have abetter match than him, idiot i can take his fat ass down now .. cant do a promo and if u saw his last promo in wwe with punk punk punked him he had no clue wt a waste of body maybe .. maybe his a syncronized wrestler diesel my ass". Chavo Sr. followed up with "big sexy,excuse me, went to hollywood and his so called bigness and bs did not even get him in roleclose to wt he says nt even a stand in" and "i wld hv love to see nash challenge EDDIE my brother wld have broke everfy bone in his pale awkwarrd body" and finally "nash was on the coat tails of hogan, not that hogan cld work but he cld sure sell tickets". Jim Ross gave his two cents on the matter when he posted on Twitter "I?m an old-school guy who thinks that wrestlers come in all shapes and sizes and that the final, final decree on how well said talents produce is ultimately left up to the consumer aka the fans. Nash is a brilliant guy?love him or hate him. He?s a survivor and by any means necessary which at times doesn?t sit well with some people? No, I don?t agree with Kevin on his smaller wrestlers theory as I like all that have true talent. But, I do defend his right to express himself and chuckle at the ability that he has to manipulate fans and peers alike in 140 characters or less." In response to Nash's comments, Roddy Piper posted on Twitter "The only Big Guy I knew of in the biz was named Andre! All the rest of us are little guys." and "I love all the real deal boys in biz. Fact, I'm one of the smallest. Fact I out drew almost everyone. Fact,Without ALL the boys, I'm nothing"

Vickie Guerrero wrote about Kevin Nash, saying "Comments from Kevin Nash, in laws or anyone else about Eddie, me or my girls just shows how insecure and unhappy they live." Interesting the in laws comment. That would appear to be the Chavo Guerrero, Sr. post where he defended Eddie.

Later in the week, Tracy Smothers posted on Facebook what he thought about Nash's comments: "Kevin Nash can go to Hell for his comments bout Chris,Eddie,was wrong to say that,u have done well,made lots of money Kevin.Im sure their families are hurt bout yr b.s. comments.U have no respect for the business or the people int it who helped yr ungrateful SORRY ASS.That wasn,t k,don,t go there,they hav kinfolks that are very hurt,why say that.YR APISS ANT PUNK,COWARD.I waana pull yr eyeballs out u JACKOFF, ANYTIME, ANYPLACE, YR A PIECE OF SH*T CANCER in our business."

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that the TNA house show in Enid on August 3rd drew 500 fans and the house show in Oklahoma City on August 4th drew 600 fans. There are no attendance figures for the house show in Tulsa on August 5th.

James Storm?s victories over TNA World Tag Team Champion Christopher Daniels in Enid and D?Angelo Dinero in Oklahoma City put him in 1st place in the Bound For Glory Series with 66 points.

Bill Dundee was at the Lakewood Blueclaws minor league baseball game in Lakewood, NJ Saturday night doing advance work for Cole Brothers Circus. Dundee now works for the circus, which is coming to the stadium next week.

As the story of Kamala not getting any assistance from Wrestler's Rescue continues, The Blue Meanie posted the following on Facebook: "So this Vinny guy sends me a message I have to ?eat my words? because there was an actual check sent to Kamala. Ok. One of my MANY other points was ?why would Kamala send a check back when he needs the money? Because the check had insufficient funds and would have bounced costing Kamala $35. So he still would have been screwed. Kamala needs help and got screwed. Some people just don?t get the BIG picture." After Kamala was a guest on "Inside the Ropes" stating he never got a check and then when he contacted them they sent a check that had insufficient funds, Dawn Marie of Wrestler's Rescue posted on Twitter "Here is the bank Statement proving that there was enough money in account for Kamalas check. Just another 1 of his lies".

August 10th was proclaimed "Jim Duggan Day" in his hometown of Glens Falls, NY by Mayor John Diamond. Duggan wrestled that night at the World of Hurt Wrestling event in Glens Falls. It was the first match for Duggan in his hometown in 13 years.

Brieanna Bringle's sister Michelle Hucke is running for State Representative on the Republican ticket in the 3rd district of Kansas.

Ryan Davidson was one of the police officers who attacked WWE World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus at the "WWE Friday night SmackDown!" TV Tapings in Houston, TX last Tuesday. You can see video of the footage by clicking here. Davidson is the "officer" in the middle coming down the rampway and ends up on the far left of the screen when they all restrain Sheamus.
