WWE News: Vince McMahon Receives Major Heat for Mocking Jim Ross

During a backstage segment involving Hornswoggle and Vince McMahon, the two watched the segment of Hornswoggle impersonating Jim Ross on the previous episode of SmackDown.

In a moment of sheer distaste, Vince McMahon put on a cowboy hat and mocked Ross' physical condition.

This did not go over well with many people, including radio personality and former WCW color commentator Mark Madden.

According to recent reports, Madden was outraged at McMahon's action.

Madden went as far as calling Vince a "scumbag" and an "emotionally crippled jerkoff." Madden also believed J.R. had no prior knowledge the incident was going to occur.

Former WWE writer Seth Mates believes Vince's mocking of J.R. is a contrast to the "Be a Star" anti-bullying campaign and shows a sign of hypocrisy.

Former WWE booker Ed Ferrara received some intense criticism due to his mockery of Jim Ross when he played his "Oklahoma" character in WCW.

Many people, including Jim Ross, did not agree with WCW's approval to put that on air. On an episode of Legends of Wrestling, Ric Flair had some cutting words to say about the Oklahoma gimmick, believing that it was a disgrace to wrestling.

With all the negative publicity that resonated from "Oklahoma," it would be hard to believe that the mockery of J.R. by Vince McMahon was scripted. Let's hope not, at least.

Regardless of whether it was scripted or improvised, it was not a wise decision under any circumstance.

Hopefully?as a sign of contrition?Jim Ross receives some kind of preferential treatment. J.R. has worked incredibly hard for the business for many years, and he shouldn't be relegated to a physical ailment.
