It?s a sad day in the world of sports.
According to multiple media outlets, former NFL star Junior Seau passed away earlier today, the result of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The 43-year-old Seau was a 12-time Pro Bowler and one of the greatest linebackers to ever play football, and news of his sudden death has thrown the sports community into mourning.
Former WWE star Bill Goldberg has revealed that he was with Seau just one day before his death at a charity golf tournament and commented on Seau?s death earlier today on Twitter.
Goldberg wrote:
Sad day....Played in a Charity Golf tournament yesterday with Junior and now he's gone. RIP my friend. Please say a prayer for him. 2 May 12
Being a part of the professional wrestling industry, Goldberg is no stranger to early and untimely deaths, and Seau?s passing is yet another unfortunate tragedy to hit the sports world.
Our condolences go out to Seau?s friends and family in this time of sadness.
