WWE News: Very Latest on Ric Flair Attending the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony

Ric Flair will have the honor of becoming the first wrestler ever inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice when he goes in with the Four Horsemen this year, but the fact that he?s still under contract to TNA has put him in quite a pickle.

Although Flair maintains that he will be at the Hall of Fame ceremony in just a few weeks, the higher-ups in TNA might have something to say about that.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that TNA has yet to grant Ric Flair permission to attend the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, during which he is supposed to be inducted along with the Four Horsemen.

Despite Flair?s strong ties to the WWE, it, of course, would be pretty surprising to see a contracted TNA performer at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

It probably wouldn?t be much of an issue if Flair wasn?t going to be shown on the TV broadcast, but given that the Four Horsemen are headlining this year?s class along with Edge, their induction will be shown on TV and Flair will be a big part of it.

Therefore, one would have to imagine that TNA officials likely don?t want Flair to appear on TV, draw in more viewers to the ceremony and in turn, put more money in the WWE?s pocket. And that?s why Flair hasn?t been granted permission to appear.

I?m honestly not sure how this works, but I would think that the best situation for all involved is for Flair to appear at the event and the WWE to pay TNA for allowing him to do it. This would be a surprising decision, but the WWE needs to have Flair at the ceremony and Flair wants to be there.

Not many people associate Flair with TNA in the first place, so if money is the issue, then perhaps all parties could get what they want if WWE simply pays the price to TNA in order to have Flair at the ceremony.

No matter what happens, though, I?d expect Flair to be present during the Hall of Fame ceremony and to be prominently featured as well.
