A. J. Styles Interview Recap

A. J. Styles was interviewed on the Wrestling Observer Live radio show after the Final Resolution PPV Sunday night, here are the highlights:
- A "litte beat up" said Styles of his condition after the Final Resolution PPV. "I took a bad bump on the ropes," said Styles about his match with Rhino.
- Styles said they are likely to book another Styles-Rhino PPV match.
- Styles talked about turning down a WWE developmental offer before TNA, as he said family comes first. He put over being able to stay home with his son, and has a child on the way.
- Styles said he accepts less independent dates to be able to stay home. He said he likes to work 6 to 8 indy shows per month.
- He said most of his recent international experiences has been with TNA. Styles said Portugal is about two months behind the storylines. He said they used a square ring in Portugal, and didn't think much of the Portugal talent that wrestled on the show.
- Styles said he looks forward to returning to Portugal, and would work the same style there.
- Styles talked about working for Big Mouth in Japan, but doesn't if the promotion still exists anymore.
- A. J. said he would like to wrestle everyone on the TNA roster.
- The match that sticks out to Styles is his match with Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe.
- Styles talked about finding a wrestling school close to home, and deciding that the could do this.
- Styles said he was never a high jumper in high school, and never played basketball.
- He said the X Division title ("Thats my baby," said Styles) means as much to him as the NWA World title.
- He thought his team with Christopher Daniels would have stayed together longer. He would have liked to have worked with Team 3D.
- Styles said he has never been told not to do any moves or spots.
- "I don't know why I would ever want to go there," said Styles of WWE.
- Styles believes its just a matter of time before they get a two hour TV show.
- When TNA brought in Samoa Joe, his reaction was "its about time."
- Matt Sydal and Delirious are names he mentioned that he would like to see in the X Division.
- He said his heel persona is a work in progress.
- He put over his work with Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe. A. J. said he never had a bad match with Abyss. A. J. said he first worked Daniels in Florida.
- He said he has yet to wrestle Sonjay Dutt. He would like to work a program with Christian Cage.
- "Time will tell," said Styles about returning to Ring of Honor. He said he has to take the better pay for indy dates to support his family.
- "No comment" said Styles about a possible Goldberg involvement in TNA.
