Thug Tactics Unsuccessful When They Really Matter

They answer to no one but themselves and pride themselves on doing whatever they want. And on the surface, it appears that BMG have found tremendous success in UWF06 by doing that.
But the truth of the matter is that things aren't as wonderful for them as it seems. They've been fortunate, through trickery and superior numbers, to capture and maintain the UWF06 Tag Team Titles. Those numbers helped them some last week on Sunday, but didn't pay off when it really needed to.
BMG made their presence felt early in the show when the came out and interrupted Jerry Bostic. Although there is no alliance between BMG & UWF06 Champion Javi Hernandez, BMG wasn't interested in the Heavyweight Title. They were just interested in bullying some people around. Bostic wasn't frightened and reminded everyone that he beat Montego Seeka at the last show. He also said that it had been two years since he'd beaten D Money, but he was glad to do so again. He then upset BMG's day when he informed them that they all had matches that night. Seeka had already been advertised in the main event against Lance Hoyt, but both K-Ro and D Money would see action against Tom Donovan and Les Mayne respectively. If either of BMG's opponents won their match, then both men would get a tag team title shot at the March event. Insults began to fly as D Money bragged about having beaten Les Mayne more times than he could count. He then called Bostic "trailer park trash". This prompted a slap from Bostic to Money and that was followed by a 3-on-1 beatdown on Bostic which left him laying in the ring, not where he needed to be prior to his UWF06 title shot.
It's unlikely that anyone would have been surprised if Bostic would have suspended BMG on the spot for their actions, but he preferred to let issues be handled in the ring. So Tom Donovan got his chance to take on K-Ro in the second match of the afternoon. The experience factor loomed large for Donovan, but K-Ro was certainly in better physical condition and used that to his advantage. When it appeared that things were turning too far in the favour of Donovan, the other BMG members came out. Montego Seeka distracted referee Jeff Kiger while D Money captured Donovan's attention by moving towards the merchandise table and threatening the people selling Donovan's items. This was all that was needed for K-Ro to sneak up behind Donovan and schoolboy him for the 3-count, forcing the second "Captain's match" later in the card.
That match saw D Money face off against Les Mayne. The two men were both products of the UWF06 training camp and had started at approximately the same time. Their wars back in the early days of the UWF06 were legendary and they carried those memories of past battles into the ring with them. Neither man had a significant size differential, although Mayne was more naturally athletic than Money. Money, though, was willing to sink to new lows with his thug-life mentality and that helped carry him through the match. Again, things began to shift away from where BMG wanted, so K-Ro was soon out to try and help his tag team partner. When he arrived, he threw a baseball in the ring, distracting the referee again. Money went to use the bat, but Tom Donovan was swift to follow K-Ro and grabbed the bat out of Money's hand. This propelled Money towards Mayne in the corner, who gave Money a Codebreaker. That drove Money backwards to Donovan, who delivered a Backcracker. Mayne then covered Money as Donovan exited the ring and the pin was counted. Mayne, who had been severely injured by BMG and not able to participate in the tag team title tournament, would now get his shot for the titles in two months.
In the main event of the afternoon, Montego Seeka & Lance Hoyt faced off for the second time. In November, the two met each other and Seeka came away victorious due in part to the actions of BMG at ringside. But Jerry Bostic had figured out a way to ensure that wouldn't happen again and ordered the rematch to be a Lumberjack Match!! And the Lumberjacks had no love for BMG as they had made it clear that had no friends in the company. So before the match even started, all the lumberjacks (including The Canadian Red Devil, Scott Trent, Bobby Lambert and Kunna Keyoh as well as Mayne & Donovan) attacked the other two members of BMG driving them to the back. This left Seeka without any back up and things just began to go from bad to worse here. Both men found themselves thrown to the outside several times, but when Seeka was thrown out, EVERYONE attacked him without mercy. Eventually, things began to break down amongst the lumberjacks and their personal issues overrode their willingness to focus on the match. K-Ro chose a prime moment to try and reenter the ring and his distraction allowed a security guard to open an outside door and let D Money sneak through unbeknownst to the in-ring competitors. Money attacked Hoyt in the ring, but was quickly eliminated and all the lumberjacks and BMG members (minus Seeka) battled up the entrance aisle, causing mayhem and chaos as they went. When Seeka recovered, he found himself with no one around to assist, turned around and was met with a thunderous chokeslam in the middle of the ring, practically embedding him into the floor under the canvas. 3 seconds later, Lance Hoyt stood victorious, gaining his revenge over his high-flying opponent.
Tom Donovan & Les Mayne have achieved what they want, but once again have to contend with the FACT that, in all likelihood, the numbers will be against them in their tag team match. Hopefully they will be able to do something about that issue or it's possible BMG's street-violence agenda will continue to dominate the tag team scene in Ardmore.
