WWE Legends House: Roddy Piper and 10 Wrestling Legends We'd Love to See

The Iron Sheik has been indirectly advertised as one of a handful of pro wrestling legends who will star on the potentially must-watch reality series Legends House.

The public showcase of egos and/or hostility will premiere on the WWE Network as one of its charter programs.

Given the colorful characters of the past who are now considered wrestling legends, many names come to mind as potentially entertaining candidates for the WWE's nostalgic television series.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper

Whether he is on camera or not, Roddy Piper is a character and would be perfect for a television show featuring stars of wrestling's past.

Not only does Piper have the mainstream notoriety to help transcend the show, but reality television was made for explosive and volatile personalities the likes of Roddy Piper.

Piper's confessionals alone would be worth the price of admission, as his opinion is as unique yet introspective as they come.

Jimmy Hart

Jimmy Hart was a staple of the 80's wrestling scene and an icon in WWE lore as he managed some of the greatest tag teams and wrestlers in history.

Armed with his trusty megaphone, the "Mouth of the South" could be the breakout star of Legends House and could even instigate conflicts between wrestlers the same way he did as an overly-energetic ringside presence.

Dusty Rhodes

The house would need a father-figure presence to curb the inevitable conflict, and Dusty Rhodes would be perfect for that role.

Rhodes' trademark inspirational speeches would come in handy following heated confrontations and even at the dinner table to instill morale into what's sure to be a very contentious house.

Jimmy Snuka

Jimmy Snuka's incoherence would create unintentional humor for an entire season on Legends House.

The possibility of being stuck in a house with longtime rival Roddy Piper would give way to built-in chemistry that could translate to positive ratings. Dare I say the two should even be roomies?

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan

Jim Duggan would undoubtedly be a star as the fun-loving legend could wield his ubiquitous 2x4 for geriatric entertainment.

Duggan in real life doesn't seem like he'd be the confrontational type, so he'd add a nice balance and comic relief to a house that could potentially be loaded with egocentric hot heads.

Ric Flair

Sure, he's still under contract with TNA, but one could always dream. Ric Flair seems to create a circus regardless of whether it's for show, and his presence would be ideal for a reality show that thrives on conflict and intrigue.

Flair has been known to fly off the handle without warning, and his temperament with fellow legends caught on camera could make for some serious YouTube material.

Gene Okerlund

Longtime WWE correspondent Gene Okerlund would very likely be the glue that holds the legends house together.

It has already been very well established that egos in a legends house would not be at a premium, and the fact that Okerlund's ego pales in comparison to most WWE stars of his distinction would add some much-needed psychological balance.

Mae Young

We can't have a sausage fest in the legends house, and while Mae Young wouldn't exactly create sex appeal, her entertainment value has only strengthened with age.

Young would be the "Snooki" of WWE Legends House except much older, less drunk and a bit more attractive.

Jim Cornette

Jim Cornette could possibly be the cornerstone of WWE Legends House much like Puck was on the Real World.

Like Puck, Cornette would likely burn bridges in must-watch fashion before being exiled from his peers but not before taking some sizable ratings with him.

Cornette's gift of gab and unmistakable charisma made him a star in the wrestling business for decades, and these traits would undoubtedly translate to television had it not been for the fact that Cornette gets fired virtually everywhere he goes.

Sgt. Slaughter

Sgt. Slaughter would be yet another household name in pro wrestling circles who would be an easy watch on reality television.

Surprisingly, Sarge is nowhere near as riveting in his real-life persona as he is full gimmick-mode, so the Hall of Famer may need to infuse his drill-sergeant character into the show for maximum enjoyment.
