Empire Schools Prepares to Become an Impact Zone

Empire Schools Prepares to Become an Impact Zone

Posted: Dec 10th 2006 By: CMBurnham

IZW has made its home in Lawton but this weekend for only the 2nd time in its history, it will venture outside the bounds of the Boys & Girls Club at 14th & F Street and bring the action of Impact Zone Wrestling to Empire Schools, 7 miles Southwest of Duncan.

IZW has announced 4 matches so far and they all look to end the year in the way that only IZW can.

Team Shenanigans, Kenny Campbell & Tyler Bateman, have faced IZW Tag Team Champions The Re-Gex on 2 occassions, but have failed to capture the gold. Can they make the 3rd time the charm? Or will Seth Shai & Mace dispose of these challengers and move on to fresh meat in 2007?

IZW Impact Division Champion Ryan Davidson will defend his title against Brad Michaels. While neither of these men are overwhelmingly popular with the fans in IZW, they also have a history of hatred with each other across the central region of Oklahoma. Will the unofficial truce end in Empire? Or are these 2 planning an allegiance just to pull one over the fans who hope they will destroy each other?

In March, 2006, Brandon Bishop entered into one of the most dangerous matches in Pro Wrestling, the Dog Collar Chain Match, against Gary Tool to gain a measure of respect. Even though he lost the match, he thought he had acheived the respect he wished from the man many people call "Coach". But in September, Tool turned his back on Bishop and the fans and joined Impact, Inc. Bishop swore revenge against Tool and Impact, Inc and, in the ensuing months, has carried out his revenge. He spoiled Gary Tool's birthday party in October. He gave Bernie Donderwitz a mild case of food poisoning in November. But when it comes to IZW owner and the leader of Impact, Inc., John Zorthos, it's personal. These 2 have had a love-hate relationship for the better part of 5 years and it looks like it is all coming to an end this week. Once again, Bishop will don the dog collar and risk his career to put the man known as "The Professional" out of IZW and wrestling in general. This match will not be for the feint of heart, but it should determine who the better man is.

And, in the main event, a feud that's been building for 9 months. It took Michael Barry 6 months to capture the IZW title from Aaron Neil. Neil has dogged Barry's steps ever since, desperate to reclaim the belt and become a 3-time IZW Champion. Given Neil's standing as a member of Impact, Inc., he's able to name the match he wants and he demanded a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match aginst Michael Barry for the IZW Title. Can Barry once again dodge the bullet from Neil or will Aaron bring the belt back to the clutches of Impact, Inc?

Tickets are on sale now. Bell time is 7pm. Doors open at 6. Don't miss the great action.
