WLW Press Release for their Night of the Superstars

World League Wrestling presents ?Night of the Superstars? in Eldon, MO. Scheduled to take place at the Eldon High School gymnasium, doors are set to open at 6:00 pm with show time starting at 7:00 pm. A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will help benefit the Masonic Lodge #211 scholarship fund.

This show will wrap up the 11th annual Harley Race Wrestling Camp, which is a world-renowned week-long training camp that provides up-and-coming wrestling hopefuls with the opportunity to better their career as a professional athlete. Attending this year?s camp and providing advice is Kevin Von Erich, Ricky ?The Dragon? Steamboat, William Regal, and ?The King? Harley Race. Also attending the camp is Pro-Wrestling NOAH representatives Ryu Nakata and Ken Hirayama.

Von Erich, Steamboat, Regal, Race, Nakata and Hirayama are all planning on attending the show on Oct. 22nd. This marks a special occasion as the last time World League Wrestling ran a show in the Eldon High School gymnasium, it featured the likes of Bret Hart, Harley Race, Akio Sato, Atsushi Aoki, Bob Geigel, Danny Hodge, Big Van Vader, and many more popular wrestlers from around the Midwest and the world.

Current WWE superstar William Regal currently still competes on WWE programming today, with him being featured on WWE NXT?. Regal has held titles all over the world and has wrestled for many years. His knowledge of professional wrestling makes him feared, but more importantly well-respected across the wrestling community. Under normal circumstances, WWE does not allow their talent to appear on any independent wrestling show. However, due to World League Wrestling?s and Harley?s outstanding relationship with WWE, William Regal WILL appear at WLW?S Oct. 22nd show.

Kevin Von Erich hasn?t made an appearance on any wrestling show in quite some time. He acquired most of his fame with his father?s wrestling promotion, World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW). He was one of the most popular wrestlers in the promotion and competed around the world holding many different titles. He represented the entire Von Erich family during their induction into the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony in 2009. Kevin rarely makes any type of wrestling related appearances, but has agreed to appear for World League Wrestling?s Eldon event on Oct. 22nd.

Ricky ?The Dragon? Steamboat is one of the most respected wrestlers to ever step foot into the ring. His abilities and charisma helped propel him to superstardom that he reached and held for nearly 2 decades. Since retiring, Steamboat has been helping with the developmental system of WWE and has been training their younger talent to prepare them for national TV exposure. He returned to the ring teaming with Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka, and Ric Flair against Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25 and also was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the same year. Steamboat appeared at the 2009 Harley Race Wrestling Camp, but was unable to stay for the event that Saturday night. However, Steamboat has personally guaranteed that he will attend this year?s camp to meet the fans of World League Wrestling.

Lastly, Harley Race will be in attendance at the Oct. 22nd show at the Eldon High School gymnasium. Race competed in professional wrestling for nearly 40 years, winning multiple titles and awards. Most notably, he won the N.W.A. World?s Heavyweight Championship on 8 different occasions. He travelled to and competed in almost every country across the world. After retiring from active competition, Race had a brief stint as a manager, overseeing the careers of wrestlers such as Lex Luger and Big Van Vader. After retiring completely from professional wrestling, he opened up his own company 12 years ago, World League Wrestling, and also started the Harley Race Wrestling Academy. He has trained dozens of professional wrestlers that have made it to the ?big times? and currently still owns and operates both World League Wrestling and the Harley Race Wrestling Academy in Eldon, MO.
