On August 20th, Michael Barry will be defending the Mid-States Wrestling Heavyweight Title against Jerry Lawler at MSW's "Legends of Wrestling" event in Harrison, Arkansas. Mid-States Wrestling has posted a video from Lawler to the fans talking about his career defining moment and him winning 164 titles in his illustrious carrer. Lawler also said he is going to take Barry's title and add it to his long list of accomplishments. You can see the video by clicking here.

The scheduled match featuring Mike Brooks defending the Texas Independant Wrestling League's Oklahoma Heavyweight Title against former champion Doberman at the Texas Wrestling Entertainment event in Palestine, TX did not take place on August 7th as originally planned due to the event being cancelled by TWE. The TIWL Executive Committee will announce the date of a rematch in the near future.

MissouriWrestlingRevival.com is continuing their Top 30 Tag teams of the MWR era and coming in at #11 were The Kansas City Killers which consisted of Jeremy Wyatt, Mike Sydal, & Mark Sterling. Wyatt and Sterling started the team and Sudal came on later. Sterling was ranked at #19 also with his tag team of The LONRs with Darrien Sanders. Wyatt is currently the NWA Missouri Heavyweight Champion. Sydal, the brother of WWE star Evan Bourne, was also Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Rookie of the Year in 2009.

Jack Swagger and his Maxim model wife, Catalina White, are expecting their first child. The couple met while Swagger was in WWE Developmental and tied the knot last year.

Mattel will be offering a WWE Legends 2-pack of The Rockers (Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty) in 2012, after which, six more legends figures will be released the next year. The second release will be of Andre the Giant. The remaining five will be chosen via poll at MattyCollector.com, with the choices being Arn Anderson, Barry Windham, Crush, Dallas Page, Doink the Clown, Don Muraco, Faarooq, Jimmy Snuka, Junkyard Dog, King Kong Bundy, Magnum T. A., Ted DiBiase, Elizabeth, One Man Gang, Savio Vega, Tito Santana, or Tully Blanchard.

According to reports, Melina was not allowed in the building last night in San Jose, CA, the home of "WWE Monday Night RAW" for the evening. Of course, Melina is still dating John Morrison. Apparently, WWE didn?t want her in the building since Beth Phoenix was cutting on a promo on her during the show. Melina posted the following on Twitter about Beth Phoenix mentioning ?no more splits? during her promo: ?Can?t say anything 2 my face as usual. This is funny. That?s WWE making a statement. They know the fans want me back. PS- Any Diva can try 2 do a split from here on out but what the WWE confirmed is that the SPLITS will always remind the world of me. Thank u. I love the statement peeps! I Bet the powers that be were waiting all night 2 hear that line go on air. Hee hee. I find it very flattering!?

There has been talk of Mick Foley returning to WWE, and Foley has teased it a bit on his Twitter, asking fans if they have heard any good rumors. Part of Foley?s release from TNA is that he can?t work for WWE until his contract would have expired. Thus, Foley wouldn?t be eligible to sign with WWE until next month, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that at the recent "Impact Wrestling" tapings, TNA president Dixie Carter was praising Sting in his new role as the Joker, telling everyone how great it is that the Stinger has been able to reinvent himself at this point in his career and how everyone in the dressing room should learn from him.

The August 13th NoArk Championship Wrestling event was advertised as the final one for the promotion as well as the retirement for J. R. Orullian. On his Facebook, Orullian announced that both these plans had changed as he planned to take 2 months off and that NCW would be on a 1 month hiatus to reevaluate the situation. Things are now even more uncertain for the federation due to Orullian?s unexpected relocation to Texas on August 14th.
