ACW Backstage News - Venue Change? Title Tournament? Surprises For August 20th
Posted: Aug 5th 2011 By: CMBurnham
As many of you already know, The 9th Anniversary of ACW will not take place at The Rustic Hills Event Center, but instead ACW will debut on that night at The Hillside Community Center. The reason for the last second change was strictly to avoid a possible disaster. The Rustic Hills, though great people, decent venue, had some unnerving issues that may have ended up in ACW having to cancel it's event at the last second. Fire codes, Bathroom Codes etc. All needed to be up to code in order to host an event like ours, and even though they gave ACW a 90% assurance that these would be completed, 90% isn't enough to keep our event at that venue. Imagine showing up at The Venue only to find that it was cancelled, not something we care to ever allow to happen to our crowd again (First time our 6th Anniversary show, when the moronic Alcohol Administration confused us with an MMA event, which has to be licensed differently than Wrestling). So this and a few other smaller issues brought our 9th Anniversary event to The Hillside Center, and we couldn't be ore excited about it!
As you might also know, Interim ACW Commissioner Martin Casaus stripped The ACW Championship away from Jesse Williams on July 23rd at The Underground Event due to inactivity, injuries and failure to defend the title. The title will not stay vacant for much longer as on August 20th, The 9th Anniversary of ACW will see a Roster wide ASYLUM ROYALE to determine a new champion. One by One the best in ACW will enter the match every 60 seconds with Battle Royale Rules until everyone has enters and only one WRESTLER has not been throw over the top rope and to the floor.. That last person standing in the ring will be The New ACW Champion! The most prestigious Title in this Independent Wrestling Circuit! Who will walk out with the gold? Come find out!
In that Royale, ACW will feature names from the Past, Present and Of Course Future of ACW! New comers like Zack James, The Real Joshua Todd, and College Wrestling Star Sam Udell, as well as Current stand outs such as Danger Dean, Aaron The Candy Mann, El Hoto Loco and The Superstar, will share the ring with each other as well as ACW Legends and Hall Of Respect Members Angel Williams, John O'Malley, Carnage and The 1st Ever ACW Champion Se7en! Also will Tough Enough's Martin Casaus be healed up by this time? Will he enter the Royale? So many questions... You know how to get them ALL answered! See you August 20th!
