JR's Blog: Rock Lays Smack Down but when will Rock Strike?, JR Podcasts, PG, MITB Tickets, WWEShop Biz w/ JR's Products Growing Daily!

The Rock's on line promo that can be found on Rock's Facebook page and at WhoSay.com or by doing a simple Google search is reminiscent of some of the great, Attitude Era Rock promos back in the day. Rock learned to talk big time trash at 'The U' which is the University of Miami for those that don't know and then Rock refined it in WWE. This promo is highly entertaining and comes with a truck load of passion. Strongly suggest that you watch it. Sure brought back great memories for me.

I'm curious as to where Rock plans on 'whipping John Cena's ass' prior to Wrestlemania. I hope that I don't miss that physical encounter. As fun as it is to follow the two WM28 adversaries 'tweet off' It's obvious that to build WM28 into the huge hit that everyone involved wants that @TheRock and @JohnCena must physically engage before April 1, 2012. When, where, and how is TBD but I, as a fan, certainly am excited about the possibilities.

Let the speculation begin that @TheRock may blow up the proceedings at Summer Slam. Hell, as far as I know it could be this Sunday on PPV at MITB. The only thing that I know conclusively is that if Rock said he was going to do something then it will happen.

@JRsBBQ got a question asking if I thought that Rock and Cena needed a 'tune up' match before WM28. Lord, no. Why give away one's Wrestlemania main event before WM28? That would be insanity. Rest assured that Rock doesn't need any 'TV matches' to be ready for Wrestlemania in Miami. Rock will take every necessary step to insure that he's tuned up and ready to 'rock' no pun intended.

Speaking of Chicago, for fans wanting to attend MITB, and I do think that if one can be in the arena live it will be a memorable night, tickets for the MITB PPV are still available but in a limited quantity. The event will be sold out by Sunday without question so if you're contemplating on going or not, one might want to either fish or cut bait.

I've been approached by a major, national company about doing a weekly podcast. I'm thinking it through but I can assure you that IF, and that's a big IF, I do a weekly podcast they won't be of the 60-90 minute version that some wrestling websites do at times. Sorry, but for me that's just too long for me. Stay tuned.

Remember the dialog on a classic, Seinfeld episode where George Costanza, then a New York Yankee employee, was hosting some good old boys from the Houston Astros and the words 'Bastards' and Sons of a Bitches' were being bantered about? Seinfeld was a prime time show with a PG rating back then. It was written very smartly, arguably one of the greatest sitcoms in the history of television, and still airing daily in most cities today.

Point is that PG means different things to different people. I thought Raw was definitely PG money night even though there was some 'edgy' language but not edgy enough to make one want to run the kids out of the room. I don't see a return to PG 14 for WWE and would advise against if if asked but the edgy, more strategic PG we've seen on Raw recently has entertained me.

Get questions all the time from fans wanting to become wrestlers. Great goal...long odds. First of all I never encourage any one to forsake their education to begin wrestling training. Thats simply not smart. If one can't finish college at least finish learning a trade before giving it up to step into a pro wrestling ring. Kids that are 16-18 years old who want to begin training now are being ill advised.

In a perfect world, I'd prefer to see young men and women in their early to mid 20's begin training and only after they have earned an education in some field beyond high school. Knowing that one has something to fall back on lessens, somewhat, the pressure of training for a career in one of the most challenging and unique genres in the world. I've often said that if WWE had 100 people training at any given time that getting 2-5 to advance to main event status would be awesome. If it were up to me, I'd sign no teenagers to begin training. Socially, physically, etc they are simply not ready for the world that they want to embark upon.

Just my two cents.

PS....As predicted, the NFL lockout will not derail us football fanatics from our season but count on this...a plethora of injuries in what pre-season that there is especially in the form of pulled hamstrings, etc. Count on it.
