?Thank God for Jimmy Hart! He was the Mouth of the South. If Jimmy says something about you, he?ll hound everybody about it. He hounded promoters ? he hounded Vince McMahon about how great of a singer I was. Vince never heard me sing, but Jimmy said I was a great singer. And that?s really how it started.?

Who gave Koko the idea of bringing a macau (Frankie) with him to the ring

?It started out as my late-wife?s idea. She really helped me get the idea of the ?Bird-man?. As a matter of fact, I was the ?Bird-man? before I got the bird. I had birds on my tights. And one day she went to a zoo or pet store ? where they sell pets ? and she saw some beautiful birds. And she saw that blue & gold macaw and she said ?this is what you need to help you get on top?. I asked her what she meant by getting ?on top? and she said ?if you wanna be where Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, Roddy Piper were on top, you need this?.?
