Mick Foley At PCW Dreamnight With Svengoolie

There was wrestling legend Mick Foley alongside television legend Svengoolie.

They were part of PCW?s Dreamnight X on Saturday in Oak Lawn. They entertained the crowd ? with their words rather than actions.

All of which got Quick Hits to thinking (no easy feat in itself): Is it too late for Svengoolie (aka Rich Koz) to embark on a wrestling career?

??It?s never too late,?? Foley told Quick Hits.

??This isn?t Dreamnight for me. It?s dream-come-true night. We?ve been looking forward to working together for a long time. I?ve been out and about on the road, and you hear things about people. You don?t necessarily get a chance to see them, but we have a mutual friend named Jill Thompson [the renowned comic-book artist]. She?s been telling me about Svengoolie?s work for some time. If it?s good enough for Jill, it?s good enough for me.??

So would Svengoolie ? whose TV show featuring horror films is at 9 p.m. Saturdays on MeTV, noon on WCIU and 3 p.m. on U Too ? be a good guy or bad guy?

??I?d probably have to be an enhancement guy, as they call them,?? he said. ??The guy that always loses to somebody who knows how to wrestle. I thought I could be a manager because I?ve got the weapon here already.?? Meaning his ever-present rubber chicken.

??Put a lead pipe in it or something,?? he said.

Which might be the only way Svengoolie would be a lead-pipe cinch to make it in wrestling.
