Update on the Highspots vs. Ric Flair case

Update on the Highspots vs. Ric Flair case

Posted: Jun 16th 2011 By: mikeiles

Ric Flair now has less than two weeks to settle his long standing financial dispute with Michael Bochicchio of Highspots, Inc. Flair, 62, faces 90 days in jail on June 27th unless he repays $35,000 and autographs 300 photos per the terms of an out of court settlement in April. Bochicchio who operates the website Highspots.com had loaned Flair more than $60,000 soon after he left WWE in exchange for a string of personal appearances. Flair had also put up his old NWA World Heavyweight Title as collateral for the loan. After a falling out Flair allegedly refused to make any appearances for Highspots nor offered to pay back the money he loaned. ?I?m positive he?ll find somebody to pay and keep him out of jail. You have to know Flair to understand what he?s capable of doing and the money he owes to me is small change to some of the people that hang in his circles,? says Bochicchio. ?Additionally, he just recently got a check from the North Carolina lottery so I?m sure he can scrape up a mere $35K out of that to keep him out of jail and still party with the rest.? Additionally, Flair also has the option of assigning legal ownership of his NWA belt to Bochicchio in exchange for dropping all claims to money owed. A rep for Flair could not be immediately reached for comment.
