IZW Evolves On June 18, 2011

Posted: Jun 15th 2011 By: CMBurnham

In a year that has been both exciting and turbulent, dynamic and eventful, things are coming to a head. At Evolution on June 18th, IZW?s biggest show of the year will bring the events of the past twelve months to a climax. The fans will finally see the culmination of the issues between Johnny Z and Double D in the steel cage main event, with Erica on the line. Every championship will be up for grabs on this night, and every IZW superstar will be looking to make the biggest impact of their careers.

The ill will between The Future Hall of Famers and Bernie D and Angel has escalated dramatically. John O?Malley and Damon Windsor were not satisfied with simply beating Bernie D backstage weeks back. They somehow managed to kidnap ?The Widowmaker? Angel Williams, keeping him sedated in their possession. Bernie had no idea where he was being kept and could do nothing. But after some time, as the Future Hall of Famers were attacking Bernie D, the lights went out and Angel Williams appeared. The Widowmaker is most definitely out to get back at O?Malley and Windsor, as he teams with Bernie D to take on the Future Hall of Famers. In a match for the IZW Tag Team Championships, Nemesis will face the new Aerial Assault. After Ky-ote Joe?s partner Eric Rose suffered a torn ACL, Ky-ote had to regroup. Montego Seeka, an experienced tag team wrestler, stepped in to help his friend. Ky-ote Joe wants revenge on Nemesis for taking he and Eric Rose out in the first place, as it will be he and Montego Seeka, the new Aerial Assault, taking on Nemesis for the IZW Tag Team Championships.

The Impact Division Championship will be on the line in an always unpredictable 5-Way match. Champion Kenny Campbell will be defending his title against ?Mr. Saturday Night? Michael Barry, Dustin Heritage, ?The Oklahoma Anaconda? Jordan Jacobs, and Wage. The tension between the Vulture and Heritage has been building for months. Both are 5-time Impact Division Champions and desperately want to leave as Champions. Michael Barry announced that he was entered into the match by attacking both men. How will these three men co-exist in the match? After being brutally attacked by Impact, Inc. after being kicked out of the group, Wage assumed that Jordan Jacobs had no protection left and viciously assaulted him. This beatdown left Jacobs injured, unable to return until Evolution. But in a video message, Jacobs let Wage know that come Evolution, he would be coming for him. These five men not only have personal issues to settle with each other, but each one will be attempting to leave with the prestigious Impact Division Championship.

Aaron Neil won the Impact Player of the Year Tournament for 2011, earning a shot at Jermaine Johnson?s Heavyweight Championship. But his plan to cash in his shot was derailed when new IZW Commissioner and member of Impact, Inc., Jeff Wolfenbarger, entered the Real Deal into an elimination match with Michael Barry and ?The Awesome One? Kevin Morgan, where the winner would face Jermaine Johnson at Evolution for the IZW Heavyweight Championship. The Commissioner then revealed himself as the special referee, effectively screwing Neil, leading to a win by Kevin Morgan. After ?Mr. Money? Randy price repeatedly attacked Neil, the Real Deal took it upon himself to beat Price mercilessly with a belt. Both men have traded blows and belt shots multiple times now, leading to a match between them at Evolution ? a Strap Match. Who will come out on top in this painful match?

With ?The Awesome One? Kevin Morgan winning the shot against Jermaine Johnson at Evolution, Johnson will have to defend his Championship against one of IZW?s most powerful competitors. The Awesome One is not only a two-time former Tag Team Champion as one half of Awesome X, but he is also a former IZW Heavyweight Champion. This is one of Jermaine Johnson?s toughest tests to date. Will he be able to keep his over eight months reign alive? Or will The Awesome One emerge victorious and become a two-time Heavyweight Champion?

Lastly, in the main event, the culmination to IZW?s hottest feud, brewing for a year now, finally arrives. IZW fans will finally see Johnny Z take on Double D one-on-one?inside a ten foot steel cage! And in quite the significant and intriguing twist?Double D?s girlfriend and Johnny Z?s employee, Erica, will be on the line. If Double D pulls out the win, after much abuse and agony, he finally gets Erica back from Johnny Z?s clutches. But if Johnny Z defeats him, Double D will be forced to work for him as well. Johnny Z has pledged to win and mold Double D in his image, but Double D will stop at nothing to get Erica back. Pour all of the frustration, anger and hatred inside of a steel cage and the fans have a huge main event.

On June 18th, IZW evolves. Don?t miss IZW?s biggest event of the year?Evolution.
