Christopher Fox brings the Hate to NWA-U

Two of the biggest egos in Oklahoma wrestling, Christopher Fox and Oklahoma Triple Crown Champion Rocco Valentino, revealed an alliance at the last NWA-U show, forming a group that promises to tear a path of destruction through the state.
Fox was last seen being powerbombed through a table in Tulsa at the hands of the newly formed POWER group, consisting of Valentino, Slam Shady, Mason Hunter and their manager Charming Charles. Fox would subsequently relenquish control of NWA-U to Charles and most people assumed that he had left the business to heal his wounds and tend to his concert promotion business.
POWER came out to the ring in Tahlequah last Saturday to confront John O'Malley who was being interviewed in the ring by Mike Iles. As POWER surrounded the ring, things looked bad for the Irish Phenom, but just as they were about to enter the ring, music played and the Long Island Assassin made his debut in NWA-U. A mainstay of the Universal Wrestling Federation in Pennsylvania, he was a known commodity to Charming Charles, who seemed very upset about his appearance here. The Assassin did some verbal sparring with POWER, then offered to be in O'Malley's corner when he challenged Valentino for the NWA Oklahoma Title in a No DQ/Falls Count Anywhere match in the main event.
As the main event began, Valentino seemed reluctant to enter the ring with the challenger, but once the two locked up, it was solid hard-hitting action for the duration of the match. The turning point came when referee Derrick B. was accidentally splashed in the corner by O'Malley, rendering him unconscious. As Charming Charles entered the ring, the Long Island Assassin also came in as did IZW Champion Michael Barry, who had been doing guest commentary during this match. Valentino was knocked for a loop, O'Malley covered him, but the referee was still unconscious, forcing the Long Island Assassin to drag his limp body over and slap the referee's hand on the mat himself to administer the 3-count. At this point, the crowd looked on astonished, wondering if the decision would stand. But that thought quickly became a non-issue after what happened next.
Charming Charles, Slam Shady & the Long Island Assassin then teamed together to attack John O'Malley, dumping him outside the ring. The Assassin then unmasked, revealing himself to be Chris Fox! Fox grabbed the microphone and said that he had been told the one person he didn't want to involve himself with in the world of pro wrestling was Rocco Valentino, but their alliance has proved to be quite profitable for him, even if it couldn't be revealed until this night. Fox said that O'Malley could keep the NWA Oklahoma Title. It wasn't important anymore. He then introduced his new executive assistant, Sassy Merlot, the former valet of Michael Barry. Barry seemed very shocked by this and went down to confront Sassy about her actions, which resulted in a slap across his face. Sassy then entered the ring and presented Fox with the new NWA Universal Heavyweight Title belt. Fox, who was wearing a t-shirt saying, "I love to stroke my own ego", proclaimed himself the new NWA Universal Champion as the fans stared on at the shenanigans that were going on. But they weren't over yet. Fox, perhaps realising that he didn't want to be an in-ring competitor, laid down in the ring while Charming Charles went out and grabbed a fan from ringside. The fan counted to 3 as Valentino covered Fox and became the new NWA Universal Champion. Valentino then grabbed the microphone and gloated about his victory in a speech filled with sheer arrogance. Fox finished by announcing the formation of a new group, Hate, Inc, led by him and prepared to take over NWA-U.
Valentino's win sets a record in Oklahoma as he becomes the only wrestler to win 5 titles in 4 different federations all in less than 1 year. Valentino is still the COMPOUND Pro Champion and the FCW Champion. Earlier this year, he defeated Bernard Funk to become the 1st, and only, Oklahoma Old School Champion at a TPW show. While that wasn't officially a TPW Title, it was abandoned when TPW shut down in May.
Valentino contacted Oklafan and demanded that we print the following statement regarding his alliance with Chris Fox: "Everyone always thinks Rocco is done. Everyone always thinks Rocco's time has passed. The thing is, I am always two steps ahead of everyone. Everyone is thinking about the here and now and I am thinking two steps ahead. I took O'Malley's belt just to let him know who is in charge. I only let him have it back Saturday night, because I was moving on to bigger and better things. The bigger thing is the UCW-NWA Universal title and the better thing is my affiliation with Christopher Fox. I initially aligned myself with Charming Charles (one step ahead) to throw the fans off the trail of my association with Fox (two steps ahead). There are no more controversial figures in Oklahoma wrestling than Rocco Valentino and Christopher Fox. If you think you had problems with us separately, you are in for a rude awakening with the formation of Hate Inc."
Could that "rude awakening" involve a reunion of the VIP Crew? NWA-U has confirmed that Valentino's cousin, Brent Albright, will be returing to Oklahoma to compete for the first time in 3 years. Albright and Valentino were the most dominant team in Northeastern Oklahoma in 1999-2001, winning the OPW Oklahoma Tag Team Titles 3 times. If Albright comes in prepared to defend Valentino and protect that Universal Title, it seems unlikely that anyone will be able to take it off the Oklahoma Legend.
