Breaking Treyfabe: Dancing For Dollars

Breaking Treyfabe: Dancing For Dollars

Fun Friday night show at the Compound last night, here are my thoughts

- Prime Time Brandon Walker beat Tim Rockwell for the Showtime title, Walker has been mouthing off for months now and again, is a great heel. He even berated a kid that was cheering for him.
- The best ring announcer in Oklahoma was in attendance, however she was sitting down the row from me and not announcing ? what is up with that?
- The Kingpin was seen before the show but unfortunately there were no Excellence Personified wrestlers that could make the trip to Oakhurst.
- Steven Sterling Gagne won a sloppy triple threat match over John E. Stone and Bernard Funk. The staff at Breaking TreyFabe are big Gagne fans so we were happy with the victory and hope he gets a push?so long as he doesn?t wear the white tights again.

- Speaking of Gagne, the first wrestling VHS tape I ever purchased was a three match AWA tape, I got it because the Road Warriors were on the cover but of course, two of the matches featured Greg or Verne, or both.

- Stars of Chaos and Raven?s nephew beat the New Balance?I mean New Era by disqualification. Fun enough match with some good chair shots by the heels. Canadian Red Devil came out for the save before chair shot number three ? they?ve been angling at an Adams/Red Devil feud for a while now.

I just got an email from the anonymous Breaking TreyFabe Staff Writer?..

WHY IS THE WWE BURYING SHEAMUS?!?!?!?!!? THIS IS NOT RIGHT. HE HAS WON ONLY ONE OF EIGHT MATCHES THIS YEAR AND ME AND MY IRISH BRETHREN WILL NOT STAND FOR IT. AS OUR IRISH HEARTS BEAT WE PLEDGE THAT AMERICA WILL SUFFER A POTATO FAMINE LIKE NEVER BEFORE SHOULD SHEAMUS NOT START GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE RIGHTFULLY DESERVES?.

- Sorry about that folks?.I have some sensitive staff writers?.
- In what was the biggest surprise of the evening, Cold Blooded Chris had a new tag team partner as he once again challenged the Saints of Twilight for tag team gold. I honestly was hoping it was the Greatness again but oh well.
- The surprise partner was Max McGuirk, who came to the ring all but giving the concession groupies a lap dance this side of Elizabeth Berkley.
- McGuirk and CBC won the belts, and I?m interested to see what is in store for this awkward tag team pairing?some rumored names I?ve been told for these new champions are Fat Bromance and Fatman and Robin.
- Did I mention that the best ring announcer in Oklahoma was for some reason not announcing in this blog yet?
- Speaking of ring announcers, for the second consecutive match since this blogs creation, Oklafan.com was plugged however, Breaking TreyFabe was not ? why no love for local bloggers?
- In the main event, Dutch Hagan retained his title with a well fought victory over Jesus Rodriguez in a fans bring the weapons match. I was very happy that Jesus took the bat from the kid in the front row that would not stop banging the bat on the cement throughout the evening.

A fun evening of matches but no storylines set up for the next event outside of perhaps Adams and the Red Devil.

I?m regrettably not going to be able to make next week?s MWA event in Spavinaw, but do plan on making the grueling drive to Mounds to see what the Foundation has in store for MERC.

Until next time maggots?.
