Breaking Treyfabe: ?al otro lado del rio?.

Well my first blog about local wrestling and my views on wrestling in general probably couldn?t have gone any better. It was like Wrestlemania I?.which though it didn?t have the greatest main event, it did lay a solid foundation. Heck, there wasn?t a solid main event until Wrestlemania III now that I think about it, with Wreslemania II only having one decent match (Bulldogs vs. Valentine and Beefcake).

So yeah, a few feathers may have been ruffled, and a few feelings were lifted from a few bulging chests, but I think the main purpose as it was commented in the um, comments ? was that every federation is trying to put on some crowd pleasing entertainment.

All that being said, there is plenty of local Tulsa wrestling on tap this weekend, and I?m totally lifting the previews from Facebook event pages ?

First up is Luchadora Night at Elote (Boston Avenue downtown between 5th and 6th) ?

Our next Luchador Match is February 11th. This is the ELWF?s first ever all Ladies Match night. Men and Women are welcome to come and watch, but only the Lady Luchadoras will be wrestling. The matches will begin at 9pm. The first match is all ages but at 9:30 the kiddos will need to be tucked in and Elote will become 21 and over.

9:30 Lucha le Pew VS Big Tobacco The corporation will be introducing its first female member of the? corporation, Big Tobacco. Keeping with their theme of wild life and small business destruction, Big Tobacco will be taking on the Woodland Creatures only lady, Lucha le Pew.

10:00 Grass Hopper VS She Guevara This fight is sure to be a good, clean one. No bad girls here. Technicos VS Technico.

10:30 La Princessa de Cervesa VS The Gold Digger In the spirit of Valentine?s Day this will be a fight for Love. La Princessa and the Bar Fly have been a high profile couple for some time now, but rumor has it the Gold Digger has been sneaking around his compost pile. Watch these two ladies battle it out in the ring for the love of the Bar Fly.

11:00 La Pandita Bonita VS Frida Bandita and La Anaconda The ELWF?s first ever female Handicap match (for those of you new to wrestling that means one opponent is at a disadvantage, in this case 1 panda, 2 rudos).

11:30 Margarita the Metermaid VS Grandma Chaos This is sure to be a good match as Margarita the ELWF?s Female title belt holder takes on Elote?s newest high flying Luchadora. Rudo VS Rudo. It?s gonna get ugly!

I?m picking She Guevara to win her match mainly because it is a nifty name. In honor of her check out this song, from the Motorcycle Diaries an acclaimed film that tells of a young Che Guevara as he traveled Central America on a um..motorcyle.

What I?m really looking forward to is the love triangle match between La Princessa and Gold Digger as they fight for the love of the Bar Fly. I dig love triangles and this could be one of the best love triangles since Beulah, Kimona, and Tommy Dreamer. With the Bar Fly pull a Hardcore angle and choose both? Come to Elote to find out.

Other great love triangles that come to mind are:
- Brenda, Kelly, and Dylan
- Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Madelyne Pryor
- Ethan Hawke, Ben Stiller, and Winona Ryder in Reality Bites

On Saturday night is Compound Professional Wrestling at the Oakhurst Fire Station ?

Two matches already signed:

ComPro Heavyweight Champion Dutch Hagen (w/ Richard Pierce) defends the title against Jesus Rodriguez

ComPro Oklahoma X Division Champion Se7en (w/ Mike Iles) defends the title against Jayson Boss

Jayson Boss is a fun enough fan favorite face but I don?t see him competing with the NorCal Shooter. What I don?t understand is why anyone would leave NorCal to come shoot in Tulsa. I can?t be the only one hating this crappy weather, make mine Sacremento.

Dutch and Jesus is a first blood match, which is fun with the exception that someone is gonna end up getting cut in this joint. My prediction is that Dutch will cut Jesus with his own metal studded wristbands. I don?t see Dutch dropping the title just yet, and lets face it ? all the fans want to see is Shane Morbid get the title back.

No matter your poison, Tulsa is offering some good wrestling options as we all wait for Elimination Chamber, 2-21-2011 (doesn?t look like it will be Sting, lame), and Stunning Steve Austin hosting Tough Enough. See you ringside, maggots
