NEWS
The RAW main event for the "Elimination Chamber" pay-per-view was decided last Monday following a RAW Rumble featuring Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton, CM Punk, R-Truth, John Morrison, Sheamus, and John Cena. The six eliminated Superstars will be facing each other in the Chamber match whereas the winner will face the WWE champion on the show. Lawler ended up winning the RAW Rumble much to everyone's surprise so he'll be facing The Miz at "Elimination Chamber", while Orton, Punk, Morrison, Sheamus, Cena, and R-Truth will battle each other in the Chamber to become the number one contender, where the winner gets a title shot at WrestleMania.

In the 18 years that Jerry Lawler has spent in WWE he only had one WWE title match, last year against The Miz in a Ladder Match. And he was close to winning it had it not been for his broadcast partner Michael Cole who interfered, costing the WWE Hall of Famer the match. Last week on RAW, "The King" secured his second title match this time not for a RAW, but rather a pay-per-view, at "Elimination Chamber". Lawler managed to win the RAW Rumble after bumping Cena out of the ring and then evading a kick from Sheamus. Cena held down the top rope and Sheamus went flying over, helping Lawler to win and then celebrating with him in the ring. Michael Cole was furious about it, stood up and told Lawler to enjoy this because at the Chamber pay-per-view, The Miz will eliminate him and his road to WrestleMania will stop there. Lawler has often said publicly that he would like to wrestle a match at WrestleMania and it looks like this year he will make it on the card one way or another.

One match rumored for WrestleMania is Jerry Lawler vs. Alex Riley with the stipulation that if Lawler wins, he gets 5 minutes in the ring with Michael Cole.

Alex Riley has been added to the Raw Superstars page on the WWE website, while Finlay, Joey Mercury, & Paul Bearer have been removed from the SmackDown Superstars page.

Jim Ross will be the special ring announcer at the March 13th SmackDown brand house show in Oklahoma City.

Sgt. Slaughter appeared on the Fox News affiliate in Atlanta, GA over the weekend to promote Fan Axxess at WrestleMania. In particular he was pushing how much oney a WrestleMania can bring to the local economy. You can also watch him proposition the female host by clicking here.

Ted DiBiase spoke at the Las Vegas Disc Jockey Convention saying that to make it in wrestling today, you have to have both a lot of charisma and be a great athlete. He pointed to Shelton Benjamin as an example, saying he was a world class athlete but lacked charisma and was let go. DiBiase said he was color blind, so he always wears black or grey or has his wife select his clothing. He said that Hollywood people have tried to get his son to leave wrestling and embark on a movie career. He said going to WCW was one of the biggest mistakes he ever made in his life. He also noted he needs both knees and one of his hips replaced. He said he believed the Chris Benoit situation came when Chris and Nancy like had a bad argument concerning their son with special needs. He talked about how he almost lost his wife and family due to fooling around on the road, but turned his life around. He was asked why Ric Flair continued to wrestle until a few years ago. DiBiase said Flair was still wrestling, but the person asking had never heard of TNA. DiBiase said Flair was his friend and loves and prays for him daily but compared him to Mickey Rourke's character in "The Wrestler." He said he believes his son Brett will be on the main roster in six months and that he's almost recovered from back problems, and that his other son, Mike, who is 33, he said he's just waiting for him to grow up.

Kevin Nash revealed in his latest blog that it?s important for him to end his career where he began and his wife took ?2 seconds? to agree with him, giving him her blessing to re-join WWE. ?I don?t know how many of you have seen Vanilla Sky. Don?t know if Boston was real or lucid dream. When they chanted Diesel, it sure as hell felt real for ME,? he wrote. The man who is now known as Diesel again thanked Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter for allowing him to compete in TNA and wished them continued success. ?My true friends at TNA text and called with their love and support w/in hours. Don?t think it will ever be forgotten,? Nash added. The former WCW and WWE Champion finished off saying he didn?t realize how much he missed Diesel. Meanwhile, Nash was the guest on X-Pac?s show this week on Cowhead TV and talked about the process of getting back into WWE. You can see at CowheadTV.com.

According to The Wrestling Observer, 2-21-11 was a reference to The Undertaker's return at the Fresno Raw on February 21st. Of course, this far out that could always change if, for example, they signed Sting. But based on localized commercials for the event, it was planned to be Taker's return. WWE has since had those videos pulled.

The 2-21-11 promo that WWE aired on "Monday Night RAW" is sparking a lot of interest among the online wrestling community and several readers sent in word that the promo is very same looking to the "Starrcade 1997" one that WCW produced for Sting vs. Hulk Hogan. The Starrcade video also has rain and thunderstorms with Sting sporting a trench coat, similar to what appears the mysterious figure is wearing in the WWE video. The former WCW champion is still signed to TNA although he hasn't appeared for the company on television since the Bound For Glory pay-per-view.

As of Thursday, Sting was not signed to a contract with the WWE. He is, however, no longer listed on TNA Wrestling roster page.

Chris Cash of Wrestlezone.com posted the following: ?I was talking with a friend of Steve "Sting" Borden yesterday about the Sting/WWE rumors and they said that they're still not convinced he has signed with WWE or that he will at all. "I don't think Steve will work two days a week, much less three or four," the souce told WrestleZone.com, "his knees just won't hold up". WWE's schedule demands a lot and unless WWE plans on making major exceptions for Sting, we were told that he probably wouldn't commit. Another topic of conversation was the PG rating and the fact that their programming was a problem for Steve in the past. It's no secret that Borden is a loyal Christian and plays a part in his decision-making. "Where WWE used to take the cake in this department, I would have to say that TNA is now the more raunchy of the two (products)," Sting's friend told us, "so there's always that fact that makes it possible Steve could accept a WWE offer. Again, as long as they work out a very limited schedule for him".?

A question Dixie Carter addressed on TNAwrestling.com:

Q. What?s the truth about the rumors that Sting has left TNA and joined WWE?

Dixie Carter: I have read these reports. I would really hate to see that happen.

On February 1st,, A. J. Styles was a guest on "Monsters In The Morning" radio show on 104.1 FM in Orlando, FL. You can see a video of him leaving the hotel, going to the station for the show, and his segment of the show itself by clicking here.

Mick Foley posted the following on Twitter: "Attention all insomniacs and regular people with DVR?s: I will be back for more fun on ?Redeye? tomorrow/early Wed 3am. "

The official release date for TNA's DVD "Mick Foley Hardcore Legend" will be April 19th.

Dixie Carter posted on Twitter last week: "I just finished filming an interview for Mick Foley?s DVD coming in April ? great matches and bonus content! I?m proud to be a part of it!"

Jeff Jarrett posted on Twitter last Thursday: "Nice article for the Hattiesburg, Ms show tomorrow, but, I didn?t know I was born in Ga". The article he is referring to can be viewed from its original source by clicking here.

Jeff Jarrett was a guest on FOX 103.7 in Hattieburg, MS last week. You can the segment by clicking here.

TNA has filmed their own version of "MTV's Cribs" at Jeff and Karen Jarrett's home in Nashville, TN. Karen Jarrett gives the tour of the house while annoying music runs in the background as she explains how awesome Jeff is as a father to all the kids. The couple lives with the children from both their previous respective marriages. Jeff and Karen will renew their wedding vows on the March 3rd episode of "TNA iMPACT!" You can see the tour by clicking here.

Ric Flair wasn?t booked for the January 31st "TNA iMPACT!" tapings in Orlando, FL. He missed the February 1st taping due his torn rotator cuff.

Pro wrestling got some publicity when Aaron Rodgers of the Green Bay Packers put a replica world title belt on his shoulders as he was holding the Lombardi Trophy after winning the Super Bowl this past Sunday night. Ric Flair, who held a belt that looked like that for years and is a huge NFL fan, was on ESPN Monday talking about it. Flair said he sent Rodgers the replica belt. But according to CBSChicago.com, Mike Dubajic, an intern on The Score-670 AM in Chicago, IL, he said he was the one who sent Rodgers the belt. You can read Dubajic's side of the story and hear an interview by clicking here.

WorldClassWrestling.info has posted scanned copies of the [i[Dallas Times Herald story about the death of Gino Hernandez from February 19, 1986. Hernandez passed away on January 30, 1986.

"Memphis Heat - The True Story of Memphis Wrasslin'" documentary debuts on March 24th in Memphis, TN at the Malco Paradiso Theater as part of Sputnik Monroe Day in the city. Monroe and Billy Wicks were the area's two biggest stars in the late 50's and is known culturally because pro wrestling, due to Monroe's insistence, became the first public place in Memphis to break from the Jim Crow laws where blacks and whites were segregated in seating at all public events.

The Toronto Raptors radio team was talking about where wrestlers were from on a broadcast last week. They said Sgt. Slaughter was from South Carolina (the character was, the person was from Minnesota), Mike Sharpe, Jr. was from Hamilton (true) and Kamala was from Uganda. They also talked about The Iron Sheik owning a car dealership in Detroit. This was a mistake as Toronto sportswriter Dick Beddoes was talking about The Sheik, who was one of the most successful heels ever. Beddoes used to call him a used camel salesman and that he owned a car dealership in Detroit.

Bobby Eaton was scheduled to referee the Jerry Lawler vs. Bill Dundee match in Evansville, IN on February 2nd, but had to pull out due to a doctor?s appointment related to the heart issues he has had.

Oliver Humperdink was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on his kidney and is currently hospitalized while doctors determine the best course of treatment.

Wrestle Reunion two weekends ago in Los Angeles at the LAX Hilton drew more than 1,000 fans from around the country. The highlight of the convention was said to be the Pro Wrestling Guerilla show on Saturday night, which ran nearly five-hours, and included the retirement match of Jake Roberts as well as a show-stealing confrontation between Roddy Piper and Terry Funk, who were the final two participants in a Legends Battle Royal. A funny note from backstage, and bare in mind this was a smart crowd, was Low-Ki refusing to job for Davey Richards citing that he needed to look strong following on from his recent WWE run. On Friday night, Edge showed up to hang out with friends for a couple of hours before he caught a flight to Boston for the Royal Rumble. He had been in town shooting retakes for his upcoming movie. Paul Orndorff and Billy Graham, who are both dealing with serious health issues, made the trip and had a great time talking to young wrestlers and meeting fans. Orndoff said he is due to start chemotherapy on Thursday. The next Wrestle Reunion event will be on the morning of April 2nd in Atlanta, GA which is WrestleMania day. There is also talk that next year's event will take place in Los Angeles.
