Jim Neidhart interview: Compares Bret to Canseco; talks Hogan, Vince, Bischoff and more

Former WWE Superstar Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart made is first major market radio appearance since his arrest on Saturday when he appeared on Ringside Radio on 1360AM in Philadelphia. Jim had some interesting things to say about his trouble with the law, Vince McMahon, Bret Hart, and Hulk Hogan. Here are some highlights of the interview:

On getting started: Was wrestling for Eddie Graham in Florida and got the call to wrestle in the Garden in New York. "They gave me Mr. Fuji as a manager and things were going great on my own...(the front office didn't know where they were going to go with Bret Hart) they didn't know if he was too small or what, so they paired us together.

On his relationship with Bret Hart: "It's the same as it always was. Everyone with their books these days is trying to do a Jose Canseco. (Bret) says a bunch of negative things about his brother-in-law and his partner, seeing if he can make some money by doing it."

"Bret's always been a ladies man to put it mildly"

On the infamous Rocker/Hart Foundation title change that never happened: It was a 2 out of 3 falls match and the bottom rope broke in the first fall. Over the course of the match, the other 2 ropes broke and Vince decided to throw out the match and pretend like it never happened. The Rockers never did get the belt.

On the match getting leaked to the public: "(Because of the Apter wrestling magazines and dirt sheets) some people knew more than we did out there. People are always trying to figure things out, and that makes it all really good."

On Natalya getting in the business: "I'm always the last one to know anything."

On Hulk Hogan: "I saw him on his documentary driving a Dodge Charger. Don't tell me another pro wrestler is having financial problems...."

"Even the top performers in the world get OLD."

On Vince McMahon not taking care of the old timers: "It's not his job. It's not his job to tell us how to save our money or monitor what we did after leaving the company. Sure, he ran us into the ground, but no employer is responsible for that."

On Eric Bischoff: "He did a great job of managing all of those top personalities. You know, everyone wants to put their two cents in."

On (Eagles Quarterback) Michael Vick: "Is anyone ever gonna forget about that dog thing? I love to see guys coming back from all of that adversity. He is so strong and so mentally tough to come all the way back from prision to be one of the best quarterbacks of all time."

On his own legal trouble: "Don't believe everything you hear, and only believe a little bit of what you see. NO, Jim "the bad boy" Neidhart is not in trouble. Everything is good, and I'm in really good shape right now. I'm always looking to get back to the ring, and Philadelphia has a lot of great independent promotions."
