Jacobs Vows To Make An Impact In IZW

Several weeks ago, Jordan Jacobs attempted to make an impact in MSWA by complaining about how Impact, Inc. was constantly being oppressed and denied what was theirs. His reward was the pleasure of being on the receiving end of 3 different wrestlers' finishers, which left him laid out in the middle of the ring. And all this was before his first official match with the company.

Apparently Jordan didn't get the message.

A couple of weeks ago, Jacobs pretended to be Double D and was put in a tag team match with IZW Impact Division Champion Bernie D against MSWA Mid-South Champion Johnny Z and IZW Champion Aaron Neil. While Jacobs was there to screw Bernie D, most of his actions ended up hurting the Impact, Inc. team and ultimately Jacobs efforts led to a loss for Johnny & Aaron. Aaron was particulary upset as he had tried to take Jacobs under his wing and guide his early months in IZW. But after this match, Aaron believed that tough love was the order of the day and he and Johnny delivered a vicious post-match beating to the rookie. Aaron then told Jacobs to make an impact in whatever way he could in order to regain the respect he'd lost due to that match.

Timing ended up being Jacobs' friend as he found his opportunity the very next week. IZW had entered into a partnership with the US Army recruiting station in Ft. Sill and Top Sgt. Jerrard Bell had been asked to lead the audience in the national anthem. Jacobs chose to interrupt that event proceded to announce that he cared nothing about America, that he was embarassed to be near the military and that nothing the Top Sgt. had done meant anything to him. Jacobs became more and more verablly belligerant as he continued to insult the Top Seargant, going so far as to poke the officer in his chest several times. Eventually, the Bell's pride could take no more and he shoved Jacobs, which brought IZW security into the ring. Co-Commissioner Sam Helton made his way down and got in Jacobs' face, questioning the thinking behind his actions and telling Bell that he was proud of the service he'd given our country. With the situation deflamed, both men were ordered to leave the ring, but the conflict was far from over.

This past Saturday, Jacobs arrived in the ring, although this time he didn't interrupt the national anthem. In his words, it just wasn't worth his time to do so. Top Sgt. Bell was at ringside (behind the barrier) and Jacobs seemed pleased to see him, saying they had some things to talk about. Jacobs said he made a mistake last week and that if it hadn't been for security holding him back, he would have knocked Bell's block off. Jacobs then brought out some paperwork and announced that he had a restraining order against the officer. Jacobs once again rambled on about how 20 years of military service meant nothing to him, saying that he'd only been in wrestling for a few months, but he had scars that would last a lifetime. He even went so far as to suggest that Top Sgt. Bell wasn't a man, saying that noone was a man until they woke every morning in pain.

At this point, IZW Impact Division Champion Bernie D came out and said that, despite Jacobs' assertions earlier in night, this ring was HIS house and he wasn't going to let a piece of trash disrespect his country or the servicemen who sacrifice for it. He challenged Jacobs to a match. Jacobs asked what was in it for him and Bernie offered to put the Impact Division Title on the line. This seemed agreeable to Jacobs and the match was signed for later that night.

If Bernie was hoping for a 1-on-1 confrontation, he was sorely disappointed. Before his match could start, Impact, Inc. arrived in the form of Johnny Z, and Arrogant Money. They stood on the side of the ring opposite the entrance and proceded to irritate the crowd, but didn't interfere in the initial moments of the match. This didn't last long as Bernie D's experience allowed him to swiftly take an advantage in the match. Eventually, Johnny hopped up on the ring apron, which distracted Bernie long enough for Jacobs to target the knee. Bernie was able to fight back from that, so Impact, Inc. pulled the top rope down later as Bernie was going to bounce off it and he tumbled outside the ring. A 3-on-1 attack outside occurred leaving Bernie prone on the outside. Jacobs quickly moved to the outside and measured Bernie for a Big Boot, but as he charged towards Bernie, Bernie ducked and backdropped Jacobs onto Johnny Z. Bernie then slid into the ring, climbed to the top rope and deliverered a plancha on the remaining members of Impact, Inc. But the impact also took the wind out of Bernie and as he lay on the outside, Jacobs slithered back into the ring and the champion was counted out.

Bernie retained the title and Jordan didn't seem particularly upset about not winning the belt as he and the rest of Impact, Inc. had other plans. Randy Price grabbed Bernie and held him while Austin Tacious took Bernie's title belt and prepared to plaster him across the head, but Bernie ducked and Tacious slammed into Price. Sam Helton once again arrived to restore order and set up the evening's main event between Johnny Z and Montego Seeka. Jacobs attempted to continue to make an impact during this match, but referee Jimmie Deen ejected all of Impact, Inc. from ringside after an early moment of interference.

Nonetheless Jacobs seemed to have accomplished what he set out to do. Even though he didn't win his first title, he can chalk up a victory in the record books over a veteran in the state. He also brought some publicity to IZW (though not necessarily in a good way) as sources have revealed to Oklafan that the US Army newspaper will be printing an article about Jordan's disrespectful actions against Top Sgt. Bell. Jacobs has gone from an unknown rookie to someone who is certainly a threat to be dealt with. Oklahoma wrestling rosters in both IZW and MSWA may want to reconsider their treatment of this newcomer if they hope not to suffer his wrath at future events.
