JR's Blog: Brock Lesnar Will Be Ready July 3...new, HOT BBQ Sauce is in Stock!...Jericho...World Cup...Take Advantage of FREE SHIPPING!

Thanks for stopping by and paying us a visit. The new, HOT J.R.'s BBQ Sauce is now in stock and ready to be shipped. The grill's waiting so let's get to cookin'....

With over a week to go until the July 3 UFC Heavyweight Championship fight between Champion Brock Lesnar and interim Champion Shane Carwin, Lesnar, who usually weighs around 280 pounds a couple of weeks before a fight, is reportedly at the official weigh in weight of 265. Some are speculating that the decrease in Lesnar's weight is a result of a different diet after the former NCAA Champion suffered diverticulitis last year.

No one should take this information as a sign of weakness for the reigning champion.

Brock is eating healthier than he likely ever has and without question being at 265 now and not having the burden of cutting weight before the weigh in will be a plus for Lesnar.

Another thing that naturally being 265 does for Lesnar is that it makes him even quicker and more explosive. I've been around many, many world class athletes from a variety of sports in my career in sports and in entertainment and I've never seen any one with Lesnar's size and strength that possesses Brock's quickness and agility. Plus, Lesnar has a bona fide mean streak even when one isn't his mortal enemy.

However, in the unpredictable world of UFC, no one is immune to losing and no man is unbeatable and that includes Brock Lesnar.

Shane Carwin has never lost a MMA fight. No Carwin opponent has even lasted the entire first round of any fight. Carwin is 12 and zero looking to make his 13th victory a lucky thirteen and to establish himself as the alpha male within the UFC heavyweight jungle come July 3 in the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

It's the ultimate in big game hunting in Las Vegas and Brock Lesnar is an experienced hunter and the one thing that all great hunters know is how to develop a strategy to insure the harvesting of their prey.

Reportedly, Lesnar has strategized with UFC legend Randy Couture at Brock's Minnesota training camp. When I heard that news I felt even better for Lesnar regarding this fight. The UFC Champion talking game plan with the cerebral Couture can't hurt Lesnar's chances in what is Brock's most dangerous match to date.

Will Lesnar have Octagon rust? (That's ring rust to us common folk.) That's hard to say but knowing how Lesnar trains and how focused he has always been then I think that 'rust' won't be an issue.

Will the diverticulitis incident be an issue? Not at all. In fact, Brock being a healthy, strong 265 pounds and eating cleaner than at any time in his life might prove,in some strange way, that the diverticulitis issue was a blessing in disguise. If having to have something like that affliction tap one on the shoulder to remind one of changes that need to be made, or else, then it certainly isn't a curse.

Trust me when it comes to pontificating about diverticulitis as I've had it and I came within 30 days from dying because of it. My diagnosis was a blessing and obviously not a curse and gave me a second chance at living my life.

Brock's got that second chance, too.

If the former WWE Champion's stand up defense is on the money and Lesnar can weather the first round storm that is certainly brewing, then I will be leaving Las Vegas a winner which, for me, would be a rarity. I am an unabashed Lesnar fan but I know the stark reality of this championship fight is that Carwin can knock out anyone in the world with his toxic right hand.

Emailer....Good info regarding our bottled products after they have been opened and then refrigerated. They actually do get more flavorful. It's also a good idea to shake the bottle before you pour. Sort of like the way that Chyna shook Teri Runnels at ringside many years ago.

Emailer...Yes, the Martha Hart lawsuit is an emotional issue that has evoked varied opinions and some less than flattering email responses to some of my blogs. I still find the timing of the suit to be somewhat odd as it relates to the Connecticut political scene. If Martha wanted to distance herself and, specifically, Owen's name from WWE then why create so much publicity by having a press conference which is not a gimme every time one files a lawsuit?

Emailer...No I did not mind wearing a toga at WM9...it was akin to being in the school play and that was the costume that fit the theme of the event at Caesar's Palace in 1993.

Emailer...Yes I must admit that the World Cup is starting to catch my attention. I can't say the same for that 10 hour plus tennis match Wednesday. The USA's World Cup victory Wednesday was pretty cool.

Emailer...I'm not addicted to Skittles...never been...ever hear of Skittles Rehab w/ Dr Dru? Me, neither. However, I always put a little extra 'sauce' on the commercial reads on Raw back in the day just for the hell of it and to give the sponsor a little more than they paid for. At least, that was the goal. And no, I never got any freebies from the Skittles folks either.

Emailer...Yes the HOT J.R.'s BBQ Sauce is now in stock and I can only hope that for those that have wanted us to make our hot even hotter that we've succeeded. We're anxious to hear your feedback. I think that the HOT BBQ Sauce will make an awesome topping for chicken wings among many other uses. We all need a little 'spice' in our lives occasionally.

Emailer...Yes I watched ABC's Downfall with Chris Jericho and thought that the premise of the game show was unique and that Chris did a super job hosting the festivities. From what I hear ABC was pleased with the first episode although they hope that the ratings will increase next week and that they can hold more of the audience from the lead in program. Hopefully the broadcast creates enough of a buzz to up the ratings next Tuesday night as Downfall once again leads in to WWE's NXT on Syfy. Jericho's talents go well beyond the squared circle and it seems good for WWE that one of their biggest stars is doing well outside the envelope, so to speak.

BTW...does any one know definitively from where the term 'squared circle' came? I don't.

I finally figured out how to access your feedback on Twitter and have enjoyed going through them. We can be found on Twitter at @JRsBBQ. http://twitter.com/JRsBBQ.

Emailer...Of course I miss broadcasting. One can't do something that they loved doing for parts of four decades and then not miss it. I'm hopeful that Oklahoma University starts their own network some day and that I might be considered to be a part of it. I 'never say never' about broadcasting ever again on WWE TV but the chance of that is, as Gorilla Monsoon would say, "Highly Unlikely" especially on a weekly basis. However, I can see being a part of a special project occasionally. Stranger things have happened in the biz and if WWE ever needed me back at my old role they know that I'm ready to rock. But I do enjoy my new, less travel intensive role I assure you.

Emailer...No I am not going to be hiring the new wrestlers. I am going to FCW in July for a few days to observe. I will also be scouting/looking for viable, new wrestling prospects in a variety of areas. I've been in contact with some folks in the NFL. They look at a ton of great athletes and can only keep 53 on their full time roster.

Thanks for dropping by and the Q&A section of the site is updated as of LATE Wednesday night. We appreciate your business and support.

Boomer Sooner!
