NEWS
-WWE Smackdown will be shown at 9pm (local time) on MY41 in Tulsa again this week. Next week, it will debut at its regular 7pm slot on the new CW Network.
-Roddy Piper is providing a voice for the upcoming multimedia adventure series ?Night Traveler, Prophecy of the Elder.? Piper will also be interviewed in the October issue of WWE Magazine.
-A fan hopped the rail to go after NWA World Champion Jeff Jarrett at the TNA Impact taping last Monday. The fan, who was wearing a Lucha mask, was encouraged by his friends to do it, with his friends cackling the entire time. Jarrett had challenged the fan, doing nothing more than being a heel. The fan hopped the rail, after his pals encouraged him, and got on the apron. The second he did, Jarrett started paintbrushing him with slaps and then grabbed him in a front facelock, pulling the fan's throat over the top rope to subdue him. At this point, everyone and their mother grabbed the fan. Jarrett broke off to continue his angle with Samoa Joe, while several wrestlers, including America's Most Wanted, continued to physically subdue the gangly fan, getting a few shots in themselves. No wrestler should ever strike a fan, but the second a fan enters the ringside area, it's got to be game on, because you never know what the fan could be carrying.
-NWA-TNA is holding a "I hate Jeff Jarrett" contest, where fans can submit video explaining why they hate Jarrett with the winners being flown to 9/24 to take part in the Fan's Revenge Lumberjack match featuring Jarrett vs. Samoa Joe.
-TNA Series 5 is now available for order at www.ringsidecollectibles.com. The set features Samoa Joe, Lance Hoyt, Sting, Kip James, and James Storm.
-?Sting: Return of an Icon? will be released nationally on October 10.
-It turns out Bobby Eaton didn't have a heart attack after all. He issued the following statement on Thursday, September 7th: "Thank you for all the kind words and well wishes, but I must admit that I did not have a medical emergency. What did happen was I have high blood pressure and during a visit to the doctor he found that I have a slight hint of sugar diabetes. Looking forward to seeing all of my fans as I plan to keep all of my scheduled dates." Bobby Eaton wrestled 9/9 at a Bruiser Wrestling Federation show in Farmville, Virginia. He and Dennis Condrey as "The Midnight Express" took on "Superstar" Scotty Rocker and Billy Gibbs.
-UFC's Dana White was asked about the possibility of Bill Goldberg entering the MMA world on Sunday's Wrestling Observer Live radio show. White replied that every time he sees Goldberg he looks "smaller and smaller?
-Frank Thornton will be amongst the participants in a Pro Wrestling NOAH camp held in conjunction with WLW.
