Foley to play in Legends baseball game on Long Island

(Central Islip, N.Y., Sept. 5, 2006) - Quality Services for the Autism Community (QSAC) officials today announced that professional wrestling legend Mick Foley has signed on to play in the fourth annual "Believin' Again" Baseball Legends game. The contest will be played on Saturday, September 9 at 6:00 p.m. with proceeds benefiting QSAC.
Tickets to the event are $10 and can be purchased by calling (516) 625-0091 or by stopping by the Citibank Park Box Office. There will also be a VIP party held the night before the game, September 8, at Smokey Bones in Ronkonkoma starting at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 and can also be purchased by calling (516) 625-0091.
"I am really excited to be able to play with a lot of the Miracle Mets," says Foley. "Not only is this game for a great cause and will help raise autism awareness, but it's also going to be a lot of fun."
The three-time WWE Champion will join a roster that already includes 1969 Miracle Mets teammates Bud Harrelson, Jerry Grote, Ron Swoboda, and Art Shamsky. Making his first appearance this year will be two-time World Series champion and 1977 National League MVP George Foster.
