- At the WWE Raw House Show in Erie, PA on August 27th, Jim Duggan defeated Rob Conway. Also on the card, Triple H & Shawn Michaels defeated Charlie Haas & Viscera in the first match of a three match Gauntlet.
- At the WWE Raw House Show in Dothan, AL on September 2nd, Ric Flair tagged with Triple H to defeat Charlie Haas & Viscera in the first match of a two match gauntlet, then defeated Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch in the second match. The next night at the WWE Raw House Show in Albany, GA, Flair and HHH tagged again running the same gauntlet and winning both matches.
- At the WWE Heat tapings in Atlantic City, NJ on August 28th, Charlie Haas & Viscera vs. The Highlanders ended in a No Contest. The match can currently be viewed on the WWE website (www.wwe.com).
- Jim Ross has posted his latest commentary on his blog. You can read it on his website at www.jrsbarbque.com.
- Ric Flair will face new WWE Smackdown superstar MVP at the Deep South Wrestling event at Six Flags over Georgia in Austell, GA on September 9th. Flair was not at Raw on August 28th in Atlantic City, NJ.
- It looks like a match for the WWE Tag Team Titles may be scheduled for the "Unforgiven" pay-per-view with The Spirit Squad defending the titles in a Triple Threat Match against The Highlanders and Jim Duggan & Eugene.
- The new video game "Smackdown vs. Raw 2007" will feature several wrestlers including Ric Flair & Dusty Rhodes.
- At the Ohio Valley Wrestling TV tapings on August 31st, Brent Albright defeated Chris Masters. Albright is still listed on the OVW site as Brent Albright but some reports show that he was announced at the show as Gunner Scott. Also at the TV tapings, former NWA-U star ODB tagged with Katie Lee but lost to the team of Beth Phoenix & Serena.
- Service Electric 2-Sports in Allentown, PA ran a feature on the WWE Tryouts held Monday at the Wild Samoan Training Center. The story ran on the station's daily sports show "Sports Scene" at 6PM and replayed at 9:30PM. The story covered not only the tryouts, but also the possibility of Afa's wrestling promotion, World Xtreme Wrestling, becoming a developmental territory for WWE. The story will be accessible on the station's website at www.tv2sports.com in the Overtime section. Service Electric Cable TV serves eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.
- Roddy Piper is set to star in a new film called "BLINDeye".
- TNA will release "The Best of The X Division Volume 2" on DVD on October 31st. While Volume 1 had several matches featuring A.J. Styles, the new volume only has one match with Styles from Impact against Jay Lethal.
- TNA will run a joint card with United Wrestling Federation on September 29th in Richmond, VA and will include A.J. Styles and Jeff Jarrett among others.
- Reports are circulating that Jake Roberts recently contacted TNA pitching the idea for a storyline where he helps a fan recover from a drug addiction. Roberts is expected to be backstage at the Impact tapings this Monday in Orlando, FL.
- Shane Douglas will have a major announcement reguarding his future with The Naturals on Thursday's "TNA iMPACT".
- TNA will release "The Best of AJ Styles Volume 2" DVD sometime in early 2007.
- A sub-site dedicated to the upcoming "Sting: Return of an Icon" DVD has been added to the TNA website (www.tnawrestling.com). The DVD will be released on October 10th.
- A.J. Styles will face Derek Frazier at Maryland Championship Wrestling's "Tribute To The Legends" at the MCW Arena in Dundalk, MD on September 10th.
- Jeff Jarrett will face Dennis Condrey at the NWA Wrestle Birmingham show on September 22nd. Jarrett replaces Jerry Lawler on the card.
- A Children's Benefit show in Toms River, NJ that was held on June 3rd was recently released on DVD. The DVD features an NWA World Title Match with Christian Cage defending against A.J. Styles. The DVD can be ordered at www.childrensbenefitshow.com.
- The new Xplosion promotion debuts on September 13th at the old ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA with Teddy Hart vs. Steve Corino, Mana vs. Ian Rotten vs. New Jack, Homicide vs. A.J. Styles, Christopher Daniels vs. Jay Lethal, Rhino vs. Abyss, Sonjay Dutt and Ruckus vs. SATs, and Chris Hero vs. Davey Richards.
- Rick Steiner defeated Disco Inferno at the International Championship Wrestling show in Kansas City, MO on August 1st.
- Bobby Eaton tagged with his son Dillon and defeated Ethan Cage & Kenny James at the CWA show in Statesville, NC on August 4th. Also on the show The Masked Superstar defeated George South Jr. The Eatons tagged again on August 18th and defeated Rex Rumble & Kid Kaos at the Birchfield Pro Wrestling show in Lancaster, SC. Eaton then defeated South Sr. again on August 19th at the Exodus Wrestling Alliance show in Jefferson SC, and again on August 27th for EWA in Mooresville, NC, this time by DQ.
- Major DeBeers faced Stan Kind in a match that eneded in a Double DQ at the Gimmicks Only Underground Grappling Entertainment show in Butner, NC on August 5th.
-Ricky Morton tagged with Dillinger to defeat Tom Pritchard & Jeff Anderson at the UWA show in Alcoa, TN on August 17th. Morton also tagged with Brian Compton to defeat Shane Matthews & Chris Vega at the Championship Wrestling Association show in Wayne, WV on August 24th.
- A.J. Styles defeated Christopher Daniels at the International Wrestling Cartel show in Newville, PA on August 19th.
- Tony Vega defeated Dusty Wolfe at the Downsouth Championship Wrestling in Church Point, LA on August 20th.
- Larry Sweeney defeated Brad Armstrong at the IWA Deep South show in Pell City, AL on August 26th. In the very next match on the card, Armstrong tagged with Scrub and defeated Sweeney & Hallowicked.
- At the Southern Wrestling Association show in Lafayette, TN on August 26th, former Oklahoma wrestling star Anthony Wayne brought out The Black Assassin as the surprise opponent for Loose Cannon.
- Former IZW Heavyweight Champion Big Van Vader tagged with Makai # 12 & Makai # 13 to defeat Super Strong Machine, Michiyoshi Ohara & Taichi Ishikari at Wrestle Land at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan after Vader used a powerbomb on Ishikari.
- Former UWF wrestler Perry Jackson, now known as Action Jackson, lost to Apocalypse at the September 2nd TV taping of Professional Championship Wrestling Full Throttle at the PCW Arena in Arlington, TX.
- Rick Steiner is scheduled to wrestle at the MidSouth AllStar Wrestling event on September 8th at The New Daisy Theater in Memphis, TN.
- NWA Gulf South Wrestling will begin in 2nd year with its debut event at The Civic Center in Loxley, AL on September 9th. GSW President Percival Pringle III announced that 18 wrestlers are signed for the event.
- Terry Taylor, Erik Watts, & Brad Armstrong, among others are scheduled for the Rock-N-Shock Benefit on September 14th at The Masquerade in Atlanta, GA. Pro wrestler Sean Shocker, who's wrestled numerous times on WWE television, was recently diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. Sean, a non-smoker, has no insurance and is out of work while undergoing extensive treatment. A group of musicians and high-profile wrestlers are coming together to raise money to aid his fight against the disease.
- Ring of Honor World Champion Bryan Danielson will defend his title against Kamala at the NWA Pro Wrestling show scheduled for the Cardinal Shehan Center in Bridgeport, CT on September 30th. Also on the card, The Rock-N-Roll Express (Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson) will take on long-time rivals The Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey & Bobby Eaton).
- Jerry Lawler & Jim Duggan are among some of the superstars that are scheduled for Northeast Wrestling's "Autumn Ambush" at Delaware Valley High School in Milford, PA on October 14th.
- Jerry Lawler & A.J. Styles are among some of the superstars that are scheduled for the Northeast Wrestling show at the Danbury Police Athletic Building in Danbury, CT on November 3rd.
- The wife of 70's star Killer Karl Kox has a ton of wrestling memorabilia from the 50s through the 70s, mainly programs and photos. They are interested in selling. You can contact them at gerwig4@cs.com
- Current IZW Cruiserweight Champion John O'Malley won the Asylum Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Title on August 20th at the last ACW show in Wichita Falls, TX by defeating Aaron Neil. ACW recently announced they are relocating to Colorado. No word yet as to whether O'Malley will continue defending the title after ACW's move.
- Current NWA-U star Mason Hunter defeated Domino Rivera at the NWA Central States show in Lawrence, KS on August 26th. Also on the card Kraig Keesaman tagged with Corwin Starr & Darrien Sanders but lost to Jeremy Wyatt, Benjamin Sailer, & Iceman. Plus, Sassy Merlot valeted for Mark Sterling, who defeated Tyler Cook. In the main event, Dingo defeated A.J. Styles.
- Congratulations goes out to former SRPW Heavyweight Champion Bobby Burns who won the Sooner Pro Wrestling Tag Team Titles on August 26th at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs, AR. Burns teamed with Angel to defeat Running Wolf & Fuel and win the titles.
- Speaking of Sooner Pro Wrestling, there has been talks of SPW having their next show in Westville, OK on September 23rd. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet. We will keep you posted.
- Staying with Sooner Pro Wrestling news, Jessi Jersey and Lily McKenzie will continue their long running feud and will face each other at an upcoming show. SPW is billing McKenzie as the Oklahoma Women's Champion.
- Former SRPW star Adam Thornstowe is scheduled to wrestle at the California Championship Wrestling show at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA on September 9th. Thornstowe will also be facing J.D. Bishop in match #5 in a Supreme Seven Series at the Supreme Pro Wrestling show at St. Peter's Hall in Sacramento, CA on September 17th. The match between Thornstowe & Bishop will be a 2 out of 3 Pandora's Box Match. The Pandora's Box Match stipulates that a box with fifteen match stipulations in it (things like First Blood, Coal Miner's Glove, Prince of Darkness, etc.) and fans will draw the stipulations that Thornstowe and Bishop must wrestle under. Thornstowe is still a dual champion holding both the Supreme Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title and the Portland Wrestling Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Title.
- Danny Hodge, Tom Jones, Cody Jones, Prince al-Farat, Frank Thornton, Krusher Kanine, & Glen Steele are just some of the wrestlers that are scheduled for the Mid-South Wrestling show scheduled for September 30th at the Boys & Girls Club in Paris, AR.
- At the Total Texas Wrestling event in Graham, TX on September 2nd, The Mercenary defeated Cade Sydal, Doink the Clown & Ryan Davidson defeated Rexx Reed & Texas Red, J.T. LaMotta vs. Matt Garza ended in a No-Contest following interference by The Mercenary and Cade Sydal, and John O'Malley successfully defended the TTW Heavyweight Title by defeating Chris Richter.
- Cade Sydal and Matt Garza will be two of the four participants in a Ladder Match for the held up Total Texas Wrestling Texas Xtreme Title in October.
