Big Or Small, Shane Smokes Them All

TAP Oklahoma Heritage & MWA MAX-Division Champion Shane Morbid has always made it clear that he doesn't care how big or small his opponent is, he just wants to fight. And if a title is at stake, his motivation increases tremendously.
Morbid has the opportunity to do what no wrestler in Oklahoma has done since Rocco Valentino: hold 3 separate titles in 3 different federations simultaneously. But, while pursuing the ComPro Title, he also has to be aware of the challenges to his MAX-Division Title that are looming.
Morbid's MAX-Division Title victory came at the expense of long-time nemesis Justin Lee. The wars Justin and Morbid have had date back beyond ComPro and into the backyard wrestling federation ICF. Their animosity is well documented and, while they have been known to set aside their feelings and cooperate for the greater good, it's always been a temporary thing.
As well as taking his frustrations out on Lee, Morbid has made it known that he wants to be remembered as the most violent man in MWA. He attacked TAP Adrenaline Champion El Super Colibri after Colibri lost the MAX-Division title to Justin. Then, 2 months later, he won the title from Justin. This past Friday, it was champion vs. champion as Morbid defended the title against ComPro Showtime Champion The Canadian Red Devil. The Devil was outpowered by the bigger Morbid and did everything he could to keep himself off the mat to negate that strength. But it always took more energy to fight against Shane then he could exert to strike against Shane and this kept Shane in the offencive position. Eventually, Morbid schoolboyed the Devil, pulling his tights to ensure a victory. Supremely confident, Morbid told the Devil to hit the bricks because he was "a loser, just like El Super Colibri & Justin Lee". As Morbid stood, bathing in the boos and jeers of the audience, he proclaimed himself the King of the MAX Divsion. He said he had no opponents left and noone to prove himself against, but MWA ring announcer Ray Martinez surprised him when he announced that his opponent next month would be...El Super Colibri! Colibri had been absent from Oklahoma rings for several weeks, due to the combination of the intense beating he received from Morbid and 3 spike piledrivers, courtesy of Texas, Inc. at a ComPro show.
Most fans would say that the defence of the MAX-Division Title is not the primary thing on Shane's mind. Acquiring the ComPro Title and ending the nearly-one year reign of Draven Cross is. As Cross has plowed his way through the ComPro roster, he'd disposed of everyone put in his way...except Morbid. The fans have been clamouring for it for months and Morbid finally got a shot at the title a few weeks ago, but that match ended in a DQ victory for Shane, which didn't get him the title. And as the time has gone by in this fued, the intensity has upped. Morbid has been busted open by Cross twice. Both men have committed sneak attacks on the other. Last week, Morbid left a match to go and pummel Draven. The collision of bodies nearly knocked down the entrance frame and Morbid ended up losing the match to Dutch Hagen by countout. But that didn't matter because all Morbid wanted was Cross.
This past Saturday, both men remained in the back, but the proximity and opportunity to taunt each other proved too hard to resist and the battled their way out to the ring. ComPro owner Mike Two and all the available referees had to come out to keep the behemoths separated. Mike Two told Morbid that he understood that he was screwed out of his title shot on October 10. He should have done something about it then, but he didn't and he was sorry for that. He admitted that he was afriad to have both competitors at the Hardcore Battle Royal, due to their probably actions and certain feelings about each other. But next week, on November 21, Morbid will receive his ComPro Title shot. Cross made it very clear, though, that if Morbid loses the match, he has lost his last shot at the belt until Draven loses it. Morbid could sense victory in his grasp and told Draven to kiss the belt :"good-bye" because there would be a new champion after the next show. He'd only need one shot.
For as long as Morbid has been chasing the ComPro title, it seems he's destined to win it and it's just a matter of time to prove that. If he still has it, then he can focus on the MAX-Division Title. Morbid confidently stated that he felt sure he was at the top of his game and reminded any opponent what type of help he had with him in the fans. Together they could accomplish almost anything. Now, Morbid must prepare for his chance to win the ComPro Title, his soon-to-come defence of the MWA Max-Division Title and numerous many other opportunities.
