Brent Albright returns to Tulsa

Former OCW & SRPW Champion Brent Albright returned to Tulsa Saturday night to appear for TPW at Webster High School. Brent was in town visiting family and was asked by his cousin, Oklahoma Champion Rocco Valentino, to come the the TPW show. Little did Rocco know that he would be very glad that his cousin was there. Rocco had agreed to defend his title against an opponent chosen by the fans on OklaChamp.com. The top 2 vote getters were Anthony Jackson and Romero Contreras and Rocco agreed to defend his title against both men in a Triple Threat Match. Romero and Anthony are former tag team partners and this night seemed willing to set aside their past differences to work together the get the title off of Rocco. But their egos clashed and the match became a contest of "Who can top me?" as each man claimed to be the best at certain moves. Rocco took the brunt of the attack from both men until they became absorbed in what they were doing and Rocco exited the ring and went to the backstage area, only to return with Brent at his side. With the referee knocked out, the former OPW Tag Team Champions stormed the ring and eliminated Jackson & Contreras. Rocco then won the match with a pin on All Action. After the match, Brent signed autographs and took pictures with the fans. He is currently on sabbatical fom Ohio Valley Wrestling due to an injury to his shoulder, but is expected to return to the ring in Mid-January. He was very happy to be back in Tulsa and to make this impromptu appearance and hopes that around Christmas time, he can also come back into the ring for SRPW. Brent was quoted as saying he?d like to get a return match against Brandon Groom, the last man Brent faced before he left for OVW.
