Night of Champions XII Breaks All Records

Night of Champions XII Breaks All Records

Posted: Feb 9th 2009 By: CMBurnham

Last Saturday night saw the ComPro arena in Tulsa draw its largest crowd ever with 236 hardcore ComPro fans packing the building to see "Night of Champions XII." Every seat was filled and there was standing room only.

The night featured a main event where ComPro champion Draven "The Annihilator" Cross defended his belt against both The Canadian Red Devil and former champion, Pork Chop. The Ray Martinez managed team of Legion 13 defended their titles against 2008's tag team of the year, Justin Lee and El Super Colibri in a Texas Tornado Tag Match. The card also featured the final ComPro appearances of X-Cal and Chris "Cast Iron" Cothern.

The previous ComPro attendance record was held by Night of Champions IX in August of 2008. That card featured a "Tables, Ladders, and Chairs" match that was the final ComPro appearances of both Anthony Jackson and Romero Contreras.

The ComPro management team would like to thank all the fans who show up each week and support their local indy wrestling federation. In these tough economic times, it shows just how loyal ComPro fans are to still buy a ticket each and every week. We hope that we can continue to give you your money's worth and we believe the next "Night of Champions" will break the "Night of Champions XII" attendance record.
