Halo appointed commissioner of MSWA
Posted: Jun 7th 2006 By: CMBurnham
Halo, brother of MSWA Oklahoma Champion Michael Faith, returned to the MSWA ring last Sunday as a surprise commissioner for the company.
Faith came to the ring to tell the fans that since MSWA now has a new location, they should have a new commissioner and called out Halo from the back. Halo reminded the crowd that he was a no-nonsense wrestler and intends to approach his position as MSWA commissioner with the same attitude. Mid-South Champion Angel Williams seemed to take issue with this claim, coming to the ring and telling Halo that he (Williams) would do what he wanted to, when he wanted to. He also reminded Faith that his title was the top belt in MSWA, not the Oklahoma title. Halo showed no intention of backing down quickly and, as a show of power, ordered Williams to defend his title immediately against 3rd Rail. Williams tried early to leave the ring area and win the match on a count-out, but the reunited Forsaken stood at the locker room entrance to prevent Williams from escaping. Eventually, Williams would lose the match via disqualification by hitting 3rd Rail with a chair, thus retaining his title. But this reporter suspects the issues between these 2 wrestlers, as well as between Halo and Williams, are far from finished.
Halo has to relenquish his half of the TPW Tag Team Titles back in November of 2005 when he suffered a head injury that reaggrivated in inner ear condition that has haunted him for the past 3 years. He made an attempt at a return in January of this year, competing at SRPW?s 3rd anniversary show, defeating SRPW Tag Team Champion Bobby Dalton and being the last man eliminated in the 20-man Battle Royal by Luc Lapointe.
