SWCW Ultimate Xmas: Logan and Morte Make History December 6
Posted: Nov 11th 2008 By: CMBurnham
It has only been in existance for 5 years. In that time it has never been executed in the state of Oklahoma. It has only even been attempted by one other company in the history of professional wrestling...
Beyond a grudge match. More grueling than an iron man match. More dangerous than a steel cage. More innovative than a Ladder match. Beyond all these.. there is Ultimate X!
When Damien Morte accompanied his Nemesis teammate Rage to the ring at SWCW "Thirst For Gold" he never could have imagined where he would be just a few months later. After winning the SWCW Cruiserweight title Rage turned on his long time partner leaving him laying in the ring with his patented "Rage Effect". SInce then Rage re-christened himself Rage Logan, has successfully defended his title many times and, above all, has made sure Damien Morte's life has been a living hell. Logan has interfered in Morte's matches numerous times costing him title shots and taking any chance available to get a cheap attack in on his former "best friend".
But on October 25th Morte had had enough of Logan and confronted him in the middle of the ring. Morte' stated that he was sick of Logan's interference and it was time for Logan to finally face him one on one. Logan obviously knew that this day would come and was well prepared. He said that there was one match he knew Morte didnt have a chance in.. when the two met,it would be in an Ultimate X Match the belt would be suspended 15 feet above the ring by two crossing cables, secured at each corner. And the only way to win is to be the first man to scale the turnbuckle jump to the cable and climb to the X in the center and retrieve the belt.
In this match, there is no stabilized ladder or steel cage structure for the combatants to climb on, the only thing underneath them will be air.. and the unforgiving canvas below. Either man will be lucky to walk out in one peice, but only ONE will be able to leave the arena as CHAMPION.
-Also at Dec. 6th's "Ultimate X-mas":
-Damon Windsor and The New Varsity Club continue their Open Challenge to any tag team that wants a shot at the SWCW gold. Since Windsor used his legal savvy to reunite the Xavior and Kevin Morgan they have been a runaway train in the tag division. Is there a team in the state that can match Kevin Morgan's incredible strength and Xavior's flawless technique with the genius of "The Playboy" at the helm? October 25th Outlaw accused Kevin Morgan of intentionally costing him his SWCW Heavyweight title. Xavior and Windsor calmed the situation but the Texas veteran Outlaw has sworn that he will make Morgan pay..what impact will this have on the mental state of the tag champs?
-Romo will put his SWCW Hardcore Title on the line against Maniacal Mike and Shane Sanchez in a "Hardcore Holidays" Triple threat match. Last show, Maniac Mike cost Shane Sanchez his shot at the title when he emerged at ringside, stalked Sanchez and spewed a mysterious blood-like liquid into Sanchez's eyes. Sanchez's vision has just recently returned to normal and on December 6th he's aiming to take revenge on Mike and bring Romo's title back with him to East L.A.
