Burns promises blood and barbwire in showdown with Shane Morbid

May 19th seemed to prove unlucky for Shane Morbid as he lost a match against the undefeated Bobby Burns who then took the SRPW title belt, believing that he had won the title after pursuing Morbid for several months. But fate conspired against Burns, resulting in that title victory being overturned June 5th.
SRPW X-Division Champion and Commissioner Ray Martinez returned from his vacation and announced that there had been some events that had transpired during his absence that he was not happy with. He called Burns out to the ring and when Bobby arrived, he was quickly followed by Shane Morbid, Tommy Smash and Smash?s manager, Big Stevie Caballero. Caballero had been put in charge by Martinez for the show on the 19th, but pointed out to Burns that he had not made the match between Burns and Morbid a title match. Martinez then said that if Burns did not relenquish the title, he would be suspended from SRPW and Martinez would work to see that Burns was suspended from wrestling anywhere in the state of Oklahoma.
Despite having the title taken from him, Burns was given an opportunity to earn a shot at it by competing in a #1 contender?s Battle Royal. Burns entered approximately halfway thorough the event and quickly began eliminating other wrestlers while Shane Morbid tried to get the participants to gang up on Burns. Ultimately, Burns won the match by eliminating Timmy J and Dexter Hardaway simultaneously.
Burns they took the microphone and demanded that Ray Martinez grant him a special stipulation for this match. Burns wanted barbwire in the corners and for the title belt to be hung on a bullrope which both combatants would be attached to. Although the rules for this first-ever match in SRPW were not disclosed, Oklafan suspects that standard Bullrope Match rules will apply. But the addition of the barbwire pretty much guarantees that one or both participants will be covered in blood before this match is over.
