Why Angel Why?

The deep pockets and power possessed by IZW owner (and IZW Tag Team Champion) Johnny Z has scored yet another coup. Just weeks after naming a co-commissioner that is solidly in his back pocket, he now has someone that can protect all of interests. Angel Williams, the man known as The Widowmaker has sold out and become a member of Impact, Inc.
Since Angel Williams returned to IZW, he was a man on a mission. He enjoyed hearing the cheers of the fans but he also took a no nonsense approach to the ring. He never had anyone watching his back. But he didn't need it either. He was a one man wrecking crew. He defeated Tommy Revell for the IZW Heavyweight Title on March 15th of this year. He then successfully defended the title against Tyson Jaymes (twice), Damon Windsor, Seth Allen, Austin Tacious, Ronnie Storm, Randy Price, and Dane Griffin. During that time he was the victim of head games played by Michael Barry. Even as Williams was training for what could have been the biggest match of his career against Al Snow, Barry continued taunting him, even going as far as acting like Snow. Aaron Neil rejoined the title picture and Williams was having to look over both shoulders.
Michael Barry won the title from Williams on September 20th but it took assistance from Johnny Z and a pair of handcuffs to get the job done. With Williams handcuffed to the ringside barricade, Barry used a chair and pinned Neil to win the title and become a 2-time IZW Heavyweight Champion, tying Neil for that mark.
At "Halloween Hangover" Michael Barry was scheduled to defend the Heavyweight Title against both Angel Williams and Aaron Neil. IZW co-commissioner Mike Iles came out and said that the match was No DQ, No Countout, and there must be a winner. He also added that if IZW Tag Team Champions Johnny Z or Bernie D interfered, Barry would be stripped of the title and the match would continue with just Williams and Neil. This came to great displeasure to Barry, but the fans loved it.
After several brutal minutes in the match, the action spilled to the floor. Williams went for a clothesline and hit the ringpost. Barry dragged Williams to the same ringside barricade and pulled out handcuffs that were taped to the back of the title belt. Barry then grabbed a chair and entered the ring to attack Neil. Williams this time came prepared and had a handcuff key in his tape. He unlocked himself and got back in the ring taking the chair from Barry. As the champion cowered in the corner, Williams prepared to swing the chair. And swing he did...right to the skull of Aaron Neil. An eerie hush fell on the crowd as they weren't sure what they just witnessed. It all became perfectly clear when Barry and Williams hugged and then Barry picked up the pinfall win. The nail in the coffin for the fans came when Johnny Z and Bernie D came down to ringside to celebrate with Barry and handed Williams an Impact, Inc. T-shirt. The unthinkable had happened.
Williams has always been somewhat of a loner never being a part of a group since returning to IZW. Why the hatred for Aaron Neil? What kind of price is Johnny Z paying for Angel's services? Angel could have regained the IZW Heavyweight Title and continued his war against Impact, Inc. Instead, he becomes something the fans hate. He has become one of them. Why, Angel, why?
Other News & Notes from the IZW show:
The show began with Jesse Storm introducing co-commissioner Mike Iles who came out and began thanking the fans for coming out to the show. He was interrupted by his commissioner partner Steve O who reminded Iles that everything was 50/50. They were both interrupted by Carnage and his manager Christopher Bentley. Carnage was his usual surly self and Bentley proposed a Battle Royal. Iles agreed it was a good idea and after getting approval from Steve O, Iles asked all IZW superstars to the ring. All came out except for Impact, Inc. (IZW Heavyweight Champion Michael Barry and IZW Tag Team Champions Johnny Z & Bernie D). They said that they had big matches and they decided not to participate. Iles agreed saying they could have the night off, but if they didn't enter the Battle Royal, he would strip all three of their titles. They then decided to participate. During the match, a person dressed in a Halloween costume entered the ring and attacked IZW Impact Division Champion Seth Allen. That person turned out to be Dustin Heritage. Carnage won the Battle Royal to prove how destructible he can be. But the war between Heritage and Allen was far from over on this night. As Iles was recapping the Battle Royal on the ZorthoTron 420, he was again interrupted by Steve O who again reminded Iles that it was the "Steve O Show ". They were both interrupted by Allen who was angry about Heritage's attack. Allen wanted something done immediately and turned to Steve O who hightailed it. Allen then turned to Iles who told Allen that Heritage was medically cleared to wrestle and put him and Allen in a title match later in the night. Allen pulled out several tricks and ended up losing by DQ.
Tag Team sensations BLK-OUT (Jermaine Johnson & Montego Seeka) picked up a win in a non-title match against Tag Team Champions Johnny Z & Bernie D earning them a title shot at the Tag Team Titles at a later date. The victory was especially sweet for Johnson who was forcibly kept out of The Impact Arena by IZW security, at the behest of Johnny Z.
Fans be sure to come out to The Impact Arena at 1009 SW F Ave. in Lawton this Saturday for fallout from "Halloween Hangover". Impact, Inc. will have plenty to brag about including Michael Barry's successful Heavyweight Title defense and their newest member, Angel Williams. Admission is just $5 and that is still the best value for your wrestling dollar. It doesn't matter if you have to ride a train, a plane, a bus, a bike, or a car. Just get there!!!
IZW...FEEL THE IMPACT!!!
