Since losing control of ComPro this past summer, Ray Martinez took solace in the FACT that he still had control of the ComPro title since it was around the waist of Jesus Rodriguez. But that ended on October 11 when Pork Chop dethroned the Mexican combatant and left Ray with no power, no authourity and no influence over anyone.

It seems like Ray was on his way out of ComPro, but like all great leaders, he has found a way to try and rise from the ashes. And while he's not yet regained his former position of power, if things continue to go his way, he may be back on top before anyone realises it.

ComPro took a few weeks off after Jesus' loss and Ray seems to have used that time scouting some of the talent on the roster. When ComPro opened thier special noon show Saturday, the first match on the card saw Dutch Hagen take on El Super Colibri. Shortly after the match began, Ray made his way out to ringside to observe. Many people believed that he was preparing to reignite his fied with Colibri, but in truth, he was there to observe Dutch. Perhaps Dutch became distracted due to Ray's presence or maybe it was too much bad karma in one place, but Dutch could not pull out a victory over the prowess of ComPro's resident high-flyer.

Ray went on to lead Jesus to victory over Rico Suave thanks to the use of a bat Ray carried to ringside, then helped him win the main event Battle Royal to earn a shot at Pork Chop and the ComPro Title that afternoon. Things looked to be on the upside for "the XXX-ican".

That evening, both former La M members came to the ring, confident that their abilities would be enough. Or at least Pork Chop did. Jesus, as always, believed he could rely on Ray Martinez. But the surprise of Dutch Hagen at the beginning of the match made all the difference. Pork Chop was on his way to the ring when Dutch Hagen made a surprise.appearance, ambushing the champion before the match even began. The 3-on-1 beatdown left the champion bruised, but not beaten. Pork Chop fought back from an incredibly bad start and was able to pull out a victory, even with Ray taking every chance he had to interfere without the referee from mentioning it.

When the match was over, Pork Chop took the microphone and said he was willing to face off against Ray one more time. This time, since Ray wanted to be involved so desperately, he'd allow the ComPro Title to be defended in a handicap match against Ray & Jesus. That match is scheduled for October 25 as part of the ComPro Halloween bash.

Ray again turned up during the X-Cal/Dutch Hagen match that night, where he cost X-Cal the match by shaking the top rope as X-Cal was going for a high-risk maneovre on Dutch. With Hagen (from Luxembourg) and Rodriguez (from Mexico), Ray seems on then verge of trying to reassert control over everything. And while he may not go all the way to the top, he certainly seems close enough to have some serious issues resolved and changed.
