COMPOUND Chaos!! Kitty Fired, Martinez Hired, Romero Loses One Belt, Gains Another

Just when you thought it was safe to enter the door at ComPro...
Things seemed like they were going in the right direction. Last week, ComPro champion Romero Contreras def. Ray Martinez in a Title-vs-Hair match and humiliated his long time enemy by shaving his head. But in a show of amazing class, Romero came out at the beginning of the show this week and said he wanted to thank Ray. He invited Ray out to shake his hand.
Ray appeared, along with Jesus Rodriguez, and his newly shaven skull was covered with a blonde wig. Romero joked that Martinez looked like a tan Justin Lee, "without the talent or charisma". Then, as if the embarassment he was suffering wasn't enough, Ray was confronted by Rocco Valentino, who congratulated Romero on his recent accomplishments and could barely contain himself from laughing at Ray's haircut, which he called "stupid".
After an in-ring altercation between Valentino and Dutch Hagen, ComPro commissioner Kitty was approached by a lawyer who asked to see the commissioner. After identifying herself, he read a legal statement from the ComPro board of directors, which revealed that Ray had used legal trickery to get himself appointed as the commissioner of ComPro! Ray & Jesus were overjoyed in the ring, but things were about to get even better for them as Ray immediately began excercising his powers by firing Kitty!
After Kitty left the ring (gaining a little retaliation by slapping Martinez straight across the face), Ray announced that Romero had an unexpeceted title match against Jesus Rodriguez. Despite being attacked from behind, Romero was able to rally and hit the Kool-Aid Krunch. But even though referee Mike Two counted 3, Ray said that he was changing the match to a Submission Match. Romero quickly locked in the cross-leg armbar submission hold and again Jesus was conceding the match. But again, Ray adjusted the rules, now saying the match was to be contested as an Over-The-Top-Rope Match, where the only way to win was to throw your opponent over the top rope. Approximately 30 seconds later, Romero accomplished just that. Feeling frustrated, but knowing that no one could oppose him, Ray restarted the match as a standard match. All of this never fazed Romero, as he knew he had Jesus' number. Martinez also seemed to know this and tried to assist his man by sliding him the ring bell hammer. Jesus couldn't connect with it as Romero blocked it, then took the hammer and used it on Jesus, earning a disqualification.
Fans were disappointed, as they knew that Romero had lost the match, but the title couldn't change hands under those circumstances. At least not usually. In what should have come as no surprise, Martinez announced one final stipulation change: the title could change hands on a DQ. And thus, a new ComPro champion was crowned in the form of Jesus Rodriguez.
Contreras was upset, but vowed to regain his title. Martinez would have none of that and declared that Contreras would no longer be allowed to compete in singles matches. He would be consigned to tag team competition. This upset Contreras, but he backed down when Martinez reminded him that he had the authourity to fire him, just as he had done with Kitty. He decided not to, since fans bought tickets to see him and that made Martinez money. Romero grudingly agreed and said he would go get Justin Lee to compete in a tag team match. Martinez nixed that idea and said he had chosen Romero's tag team partner, a name he Romero had a long association with: Anthony Jackson!
Romero was upset, Jackson focused on no one but himself and Martinez was overjoyed that his persistant enemy was now under his thumb. After a huge verbal arguement between the partners, they headed off to prepare for their tag team title match against ComPro Tag Team Champions New Canada later.
When it came time for the main event, Romero was all business and Jackson was all bragadociousness. New Canada came in strong and as has always seemed to be the case, the members of the Mexican Combo Platter were not on the same page. Jackson would blind tag himself in and Romero was torn, not wanting another loss on his record, but not wanting to have to team on a regular basis with Jackson. Despite no real tag team strategy, Jackson hit a spear and covered one Canadian while Romero was outside of the ring preoccupied with another one. Before Romero could come in to break up the pin, Generic Referee One counted three and Romero was once again a champion. Romero had no desire to celebrate with his new partner and offered to buy the former champions a beer. As usual, Jackson needed no one but himself to share congratulations with and paid no mind to Romero, The Canadian Luchadore and TAP Champion The Canadian Red Devil as they left.
The face of ComPro has now changed drastically. Ray Martinez began his career as a the ring announcer for TPW and is once again in that position in ComPro. Kitty, the voice of ComPro for 3 years, is gone. Romero is denied what he wants the most and forced to co-exist with a man he despises. And there is still another 2 1/2 months of summer yet to go. How many more dramatic changes can this federation withstand?
