Kitty Points Her Claws Towards La M

ComPro Commissioner and Ring Announcer Kitty didn't have a long in-ring career. A lack of competition caused her to look towards other areas of endeavour in the wrestling business and for the past few years, she has racked up several ring announcing positions in Northeast Oklahoma. She's also been the commissioner for 2 federations. And in that time, most wrestlers have learned that you don't want to cross the line with her. Though small, she's no pushover.
For any who have been following his career since entering ComPro, Ray Martinez doesn't care about the rules. And since La M lost the ComPro Tag Team Titles, Ray has been working extra hard to regain what he feels is some lost respect. He hired a replacement for El Choppo in the form of the masked El Castigador. He targeted ComPro Champion Romero Contreras. He continues to get the most negative vocal reaction of any member of the ComPro roster.
But this week, he went too far.
In all the time that Ray has been making himself a thorn in the side of Romero, he hasn't come into much contact with him. True, there was a 6-man tag where Romero and Ray found themselves on opposite sides in April. But the 2 men were never in the ring at the same time. Last week, Ray led Jesus Rodriguez against Romero's close friend Justin Lee. Justin, who has adopted the practice of wrestling in tights designed after super-hero costumes, came out as Green Lantern, but after lots of interference from Ray, Justin went to the back and got Romero, who brought the Green Lantern ring with him. When the referee was distracted, Romero threw the ring to Justin, who used it to knock out Jesus and win the match. Another humiliation for Ray, who demanded a 2-on-1 Handicap Match for Night of Champions. This was granted, although few people gave Ray's charges much chance in the match.
And they were right. Though they had their moments, it was fairly obvious from the beginning that they were not there to win the belt, but to hurt Romero and allow Ray to pick up the pieces later. This was an elimination Handicap Match, meaning that Romero had to win 2 falls, while La M only had to succeed one time. But both members were disqualified on seperate occasions and Romero emerged with his belt intact. At that moment, Ray entered the ring and it became a 3-on-1 attack on a fatigued Romero. Not wanting to see this type of bully-tactic continue in her ring, Kitty left her ringside position and entered the fracas, prepared to do whatever was necessary to calm it down.
And during her demands for La M to cease their action, Ray Martinez disrespected Kitty by shoving her on her posterior.
It was a moment that even brought a look of amazement from Ray. But that didn't last for long, as amazement was replaced by satisfaction. Kitty, however, would be the one to gain ultimate satisfaction. She rose to her feet, outraged, and suspended Ray for 1 week without pay. Then she upped the stakes by saying that she had decided on a new #1 contender to the ComPro Title: Ray Martinez!! And Ray would face Romero for that title next month at Night of Champions. Ray went ballistic, protesting that he was not a wrestler, but that didn't matter to Kitty. And she had one more announcement up her sleeve. After consulting with Romero and getting his approval, she added a stipulation to the match. Since Romero was putting his ComPro title on the line, it only seemed fair that Ray have to put something on the line. And that something was his hair. The fans roared, Ray fumed and Kitty smiled, having once again proven that she was the one in charge.
While it appeared that the physical interaction between Ray and Kitty was spur fo the moment, it should be pointed out that Kitty and Ray have a bit of a history with each other. Kitty began her career in TPW where Ray was commissioner and ring announcer. But when Ray left TPW for SRPW, Kitty was chosen as his replacement. The two were friendly during most of the TPW days, but after the departure, Ray no longer wished to associate with Kitty and some believed that he blamed her for being "pushed out" of TPW. This allegation was proven unfounded over time, but Ray still bears a less than favourable opinion of "The Hellcat" based on some of their previous in-ring conversations. He's condescending at best and pompous at worst when dealing with her. But perhaps he should remember her position so he doesn't end up risking other portions of his anatomy before the end of the year.
