Prophet denied justice in his quest for AACW gold

Prophet denied justice in his quest for AACW gold

Posted: Apr 18th 2006 By: oklastaff

The Prophet entered AACW last weekend in an attempt to walk out with the Heavyweight Title, but a series of events seemingly conspired to prevent him from acheiving that dream.

Prophet and Al Farat were set to meet in Guthrie on April 14 to crown the first AACW Champion. And AACW commmissioner Damien Strange attempted to make the situation even by ejecting Farat?s manager, Mustafa Sharmoot from the ring. However, he could do nothing later in the match when Al Farat?s associate Kareem Sadat came to the ring and, while Al Farat was distracting referee Rob Justice, Sadat knocked out Prophet. Farat then pinned Prophet, although Justice delivered an incredibly fast 3-count.

The next night in Oklahoma City, Prophet was granted a rematch for the AACW title and came prepared to settle for nothing short of victory. Strange did not eject Sharmoot this time, although his presence did not do much to deter Prophet from his quest. However, Al Farat came prepared for Prophet and towards the end of the match, used a fork on the throat of Prophet in full view of referee Rob Justice, who had no choice but to disqualify Farat. Prophet won the match, but could not claim the title on a DQ.

Al Farat?s title retention was not the only controversy that night in OKC. Earlier MSWA owner Bad Boy came out prepared for a match, but before he could arrive, Tommy D and Overdose arrived in the ring, shortly joined by Al Farat, Sharmoot & Sadat. They proceded to beat down Bad Boy until Damien Strange and Glen Steel, who had competed earlier, arrived to make the save. Bad Boy invited Al Farat to show up to the MSWA show on April 23, mentioning that Mid-South Champion Angel Williams was at his beck and call to defend the company from a possible invasion.
