Reunited Canada Sets Their Goal On The Tag Titles, Thanks To The Shadow Of Death
Posted: Apr 17th 2008 By: CMBurnham
The Canadian Luchadore & TAP Champion The Canadian Red Devil have a history that goes back quite a few years. Both men were part of the stable called ?New Canada,? but were regarded as the minions of group when contrasted against the other members: the dominant anti-American monster known as AWOL. and the faction?s leader, Jon Davis. On October 7. 2006, the once seemingly unstoppable faction of ?New Canada? lost an eight man tag team match that forced ?New Canada? to disband forever. After the demise of their faction, Canadian Red Devil eventually developed into an impressive single?s wrestler, acquiring titles all over the state. It was a different story for the Canadian Luchadore. On his own, it seemed as if the Luchadore was unable to achieve any level of success. That was until the Shadow of Death took an interest in him and began advising him from ringside. The Shadow of Death has always been a mysterious and enigmatic character during the numerous years he has been involved with professional wrestling in the state of Oklahoma. In 2008, The Canadian Red Devil and the Canadian Luchdore began teaming up again after they found themselves with a common enemy: the ComPro tag team champions, ?La M.?
La M consists of the wrestling duo Jesus Rodriguez and El Choppo, and they are guided by the controversial Ray Martinez, an outspoken sympathizer for Oklahoma?s illegal Mexican immigrants. La M has beaten some of the top teams in Oklahoma, including the formerly undefeated Compound Varsity team of Justin Lee and ComPro Champion Romero Contreras. No team that has faced La M has been able to account for Ray Martinez?s presence on the outside of the ring. Martinez has clearly been the difference maker in their title defenses. However, no team until now has had a presence like the Shadow of Death on the outside of the ring either. This Saturday night, the reunited Canadians, with the Shadow of Death in their corner, look to accomplish what no tag team in Oklahoma has been able to do thus far: defeat La M and Ray Martinez for the ComPro tag team championship.
