Former partners continue to enrage Zorthos

Former partners continue to enrage Zorthos

Posted: Apr 16th 2008 By: mikeiles

John Zorthos is a power-hungry control freak. He like things his way. As owner of IZW it has always been his way or the highway. No one has been able to stay one step ahead of Johnny Z. Until now.

Since Bernie Donderwitz & Gary Tool returned to IZW, they had something that belonged to Johnny Z. His money bag. Granted the bag had a few less bills in it than before due to Bernie D and The Coach giving money to the fans the previous week. But nonetheless, Johnny Z wanted what was rightfully his back in his possession.

At the start of the IZW show, Tool and Donderwitz were in the ring asking to speak with IZW Tag Team Champions Nathan Sensation & Striker. The champions came to the ring with their valet, Brieanna Bringle. Tool and Donderwitz asked the champs for a title shot as a sign of goodwill. Sensation had been trained by Tool and Donderwitz (among others) in the IZW Impact Academy and Striker held the Texas Championship Wrestling Tag Team Titles with Tool a few years back as well as being travel partners and friends for quite some time. Just as Striker was about to accept the challenge, the music for The New Age Syndicate began and out came The Sanders Twins, armed with a kendo stick. They said they were the #1 contenders and they deserved the title shot. After some ranting and raving from NAS, the Impact, Inc. music began and out came Johnny Z and Michael Barry. Zorthos began screaming about his money bag and how he carried Bernie D and if it weren't for him, Bernie D wouldn't have been IZW Tag Team Champion on 4 occasions. As the four teams began to argue, the guitar riff of Ted Nugent's "Stranglehold" began. IZW Commissioner Mike Iles came to the ring returning to The Impact Arena for the first time since "March Mayhem". The commish was dressed in a Hawaiian shirt having just come back from vacation and the front row ringside fans chanted "Welcome Back".

The commish said that it seems like all 4 teams wanted a piece of each other. He set up the main event right then and there. He put Impact, Inc. tagging with The New Age Syndicate taking on Gary Tool & Bernie Donderwitz and IZW Tag Team Champions Nathan Sensation & Striker in an 8 Man Tag Team Match.

Later in the evening, Tool & Donderwitz were in their locker room beginning to prepare for the match. Tool thought it might be best for them to go and confer with Sensation & Striker. Bernie D agreed and as he was leaving Tool asked what about the bag on the bench. Bernie D said no big deal and dragged the bench behind the lockers. After they left, Johnny Z and Michael Barry peeked out from behind a second set of lockers. They celebrated quietly because they were about to retrieve Johnny Z's money bag. They pulled the bag out and opened it and found a snake! They were both startled and ran into the lockers knocking themselves out cold.

In the main event, the two sides meshed well together. The brawl spilled to the floor and Sensation flew off the top rope to the melee below. Zorthos leaped over the top rope with a plancha. That left Bernie D and Striker in the ring. After goading each other, they both climbed the turnbuckle but the melee spilt up and scattered. Later Tool did a moonsault from the top rope to the brawl in the ring. The match ended by DQ when Zorthos, Barry, and The Sanders Twins used the kendo sticks to attack their opponents.

Johnny Z is bound and determined to get his money bag back. Bernie D and The Coach keep one step ahead of Zorthos. What other tricks do the crafty former Impact, Inc. members have up their sleeve?

Other News & Notes from the IZW show:
Seth Allen had an eventful evening. He started the night by defeating Dustin Heritage in the first match of the show. Later he tried to distract John O'Malley in his match against Se7en. O'Malley picked up the win but was then attacked by Allen who then hit him with a One Man Con-Chair-to. He then began speaking to the unconscious O'Malley saying he wasn't about to let O'Malley get away with forcing his mentor Brad Michaels into retirement.

IZW Heavyweight Champon Angel Williams successfully defended the title against Tyson Jaymes. Williams continues to mow through the competition.

IZW Impact Division Champion Kenny Campbell successfully defended his title against rookie standout Jermaine Johnson. Campbell however received a little bit of assistance in the form of Michael Barry, who as of late has had an issue with Johnson. Later in the evening Barry was attacked in the locker room by Johnson and the brawl had to be broken up by the entire IZW locker room.

IZW Commissioner Mike Iles spoke to the fans immedately after intermission saying that IZW is the best fed in the state of Oklahoma and with so many returning fans week after week, the fans must think so as well. But he said that all companies in all lines of business cannot rest on the laurels. They must keep evolving he said. With that, he announced that June 14th will be IZW's next supershow and it will be aptly named "Evolution". In addition, he announced that former WWE superstar Al Snow would be on the card as well.

Fans be sure to check out IZW and The Impact Arena each and every Saturday night. The Impact Arena is located at 5325 SW Penn in OKC about 3 miles north of I-240 and admission is just $5 for all ages. That is the best value for your wrestling dollar.

IZW...FEEL THE IMPACT!!!
