Dexter Hardaway: SRPW's Last Hope?

Dexter Hardaway: SRPW's Last Hope?

Posted: Apr 9th 2006 By: oklastaff

Oklahoma superstar Dexter Hardaway has been a highly controversial person during his career, but recent events in SRPW seem to have put him in the position of being the only person capable of saving the company from internal destruction.

2 weeks ago, Dexter showed up at ringside to observe the action during the show. He announced that he was unable to compete due to an injury that he had suffered. That night, things in SRPW began to go haywire. The Dalton/Legacy gang showed their contempt for SRPW management by trading the SRPW Boys & Girls Club Title amongst themselves before SRPW owner Sarah Harmon stepped in and stripped it from Lily McKenzie. Dexter also had to fend off an attack by Guy Punk. And SRPW commissioner Ray Martinez was placed on administrative leave by Sarah as a result of his inaction during the Dalton/Legacy Gang fiasco.

This week, Dexter arrived and announced that, since Ray Martinez had been suspended, he would take the job of temporary commissioner. But Ray came out and announced that Sarah Harmon had reinstated him as commissioner and he thanked Dexter for trying to do what was best. Dexter remained at ringside to witness an attack on Cade Sydal by Timmy J & X-Cal. After this happened, Dexter called out X-Cal to meet with him in the ring and discuss matters, but after X-Cal came out, Timmy J attacked Dexter from behind and X-Cal, who is a lisenced referee of SRPW, counted a pinfall on Dexter by Timmy.

Problems continued to surface for Dexter as SRPW Women?s champion Lily McKenzie got into the ring to confront SRPW ring announcer Jessi Jersey. Lily announced that Jessi will soon be turning 18 and wants to begin competing as a wrestler. Lily then knocked Jessi out with the microphone before Dexter came to her rescue.

Dexter remained in the dressing area for the remainder of the show, but could not control himself when Timmy J & X-Cal came out during the No DQ SRPW Title match between Shane Morbid & Cade Sydal. Dexter attacked X-Cal, throwing him over the merchandise table and out the front door of the gymnasium area. After Shane pins Cade for the title, Dexter returned to the arena to protest Ray Martinez?s behaviour during the show. He has promised to stand up for SRPW and has reportedly been trying to recruit assistance from the locker room to prevent further displays such as Timmy, X-Cal & Ray have made.

Dexter?s actions regarding SRPW might be seen as being somewhat at odds with the attitude he has displayed over in TPW while dealing with Oklahoma Old School Champion Rocco Valentino. He goaded Rocco into pulling him into the ring during a TPW Tag Team Title match with Justin Lee against Sexy Bologna. Rocco completely lost control and had to be restrained while Dexter left the building. A more indepth story about those events will appear later this week.

According to SRPW commissioner Ray Martinez, SRPW owner Sarah Harmon is at a mid-wife?s convention in Honduras and will not be available for the next 2 weeks for comment regarding Dexter?s behaviour.
